≋ The Power of Fears [Video/Action for Disney Castle]
[The communicator turns on to a scene of movement through Disney Town as Ven tries to make his way to the Castle at the center of the world as quickly as he can, his armor clanking a bit as he runs. He's wearing it because he thinks it will help protect him from whatever this Mist is doing to people, but the situation is more than serious enough that some sort of help is needed, and he's hoping Mickey will have some answers. But he's tired and worn out and not really paying attention...]
Has anyone ever seen anything like this before on your home worlds? I haven't seen something like this or even read about it in any books, so this may be something from another world that's starting to creep into our universe and if it is we're going to need any help we can to defeat this. We've got so many people from so many different worlds here there has to be someone who has any idea what this is, or some way to fight it - we all need help here, please, anyone, if you know anything, tell the rest of us. [Because otherwise they are all going to die of exhaustion in short order, and that's not a joke. But for now, all he can do is ask and hope someone responds as he keeps going.]
[He's about a hundred yards out from the Castle when it happens.]
Ventus!
Wha-?! [Ven skids to a halt where he stands, turning back the direction he came at that... far too familiar voice. Far, far too familiar, and a far, far too familiar figure steps out from an alley, striding towards him with his hands folded behind his back and a small, confident, evil smile on his face. Ven doesn't even realize that his armor is dissolving, pulling back into just his pauldron as the man gets closer and he backs up a couple of steps, Keyblade appearing in his hand.]
M-Master Xehanort!
Indeed, it is me, your first Master. I've come to bring you home, back to the Graveyard. Come, Ventus. We have much work to do.
[The man holds out a hand towards Ven, who recoils, dropping into his battle stance immediately. The fear is flickering over his face but he's doing a decent job of keeping it in check because he can't afford to lose this now-]
No! Everything you say is a lie, everything you do is just to hurt people! I won't listen to you again - I won't let you control me again!
Is that what you think? [He heaves a sigh, as if he really is punishing an errant pupil.] Always suffering from your lack of vision, your lack of understanding of the situation. In that case... so be it. [The old man turns his outstretched hand, gripping his fingers, an ornate Keyblade appearing in it.] If you won't listen, you will have to live - or not - with the consequences.
[Ven's eyes widen and he quickly swings his Keyblade up into a guard position, but Xehanort is preternaturally fast and remarkably strong. Ven's weapon is knocked aside in just two blows, and without giving him any more time to react to counter it, one more stabbing strike drives the end of the master's Keyblade into Ven's chest as the teenager yells, eyes opened wide with shock. The light goes out of his eyes as he starts to lose consciousness, and the all-too-real nightmare vision of the old man fades from existence as he slumps to the ground, half-dead from a dream strike and absolutely passed out cold. He didn't actually lose his heart, but it sure feels like he did, and he won't be waking up for awhile.]

Ventus! [It really doesn't look good and Kairi knows she just has to make her way, to help if she can of course.]

At least that is out of the way now. Let's just hope this works.

Ven!
[video]
[video -> action]
Unfortunately, she's never managed the portals Ven has, and so she has to rely on her glider to get her there. She's there as soon as she can though, and she really hopes that he's still somewhere she can find by the time she lands]
[action]
[And he's exactly where he fell, within throwing distance of the castle gates, but there's no one out on the world at the moment to help him. Everyone is in hiding or has fallen themselves. He's laying face down on the ground, barely breathing.]
[action]
It takes a bit of time to get Ven on his feet enough so that she can carry him back to her glider, and longer still to arrange things so that she won't drop him on the return trip. But she has the advantage of having done it once before and Ven is lighter than Terra besides. Once things are arranged to her liking, she takes a brief moment to make sure there's nothing else to be taken care in the immediate vicinity (there's not, for better or for worse) and then takes off for home.]

[action]
It's with a heavy heart that she brings him to his room, but better to leave him somewhere comfortable, she figures.]

[ video ]
video; I imagine she'll see the second part, too, but I'll go for the first, well. First.
I haven't seen anything like this either. Someone thought it was from the darkness, but now that you mention it, it could come from a world none of us know about, too. [ But that... doesn't really help things. They need solutions. And fast. ]
video;
[And he'll keep running to the castle. Mickey better know something...]
video;
Right. The question is how? Every world I've gone to- they all have that mist in them! [ Mind, she's been trying her best to duck into buildings here and there or slip back out from the corridor she came from if it's too thick. ] How do we stop something that's spreading so fast?
video;
[There's so much Mist on this world. He doesn't know what that means, but it's... making this a lot harder than it should be. Normally he has a good sense of direction, but this stuff seems to be turning him in circles and making him go down alleys that he's never noticed before - it's harder to see the castle now.]
video;
[ And that means it might start doing weird things to him. Things that she doesn't want happening to him, okay? Even she can see that the mist is awfully thick from her side of things. It's even blurring up his face and he's really not that far from the screen- at least she doesn't think so from her perspective. ]
video;
[...Famous last words.]
I can't stop now!
video;
[ She gets him. She really does. And she's no more crazy about her own words than he is. But if he gets overexposed to that mist... ] Doesn't he have one of these things, too? [ You know, the communicator thingamajigs. ]
