[Leonardo stood on the precipice of the clock tower in Traverse Town, the highest point in the city. He was bent over a wonderful new invention... well, to him it was new, it was called a telescope! The painter looked from the machine to his notes to jot down an observation in a messy backwards Italian mirrored script. ]

[Then he looked back to the stars he was gazing at through his new toy... or at least he would have if the moogle standing behind him hadn‘t picked that moment to pitch a bit of a, “how much longer is this going to be, kupo!” tantrum.]

Si, si, nearly done. Just a final world...

[Leonardo returned to his note to expertly jot in the final piece, just a quick sketch of the one world that was missing from this commission. ]

And sadly somewhere, in a Traverse Town house... Dante‘s poor home would be littered with sketches and notes outlining the progression of this piece. Leonardo was not the most tidy or organized person around. It could be weeks before the poor kitchen table could be found again. This is what can happen with a disordered houseguest around.]

I am currently looking for commissions. If you need a sculpture or a painting done I would be at your service. I also have some experience with machinations for moving water, war machines, and theatrical equipment... though I am told that expertise might be a bit dated. Oh! If you would like a copy of the map? It might come in handy for your journeys?

[ except not. this man is a genius and this sort of behavior is to be expected. but still... sebastian couldn't help but fangirl smile on the inside, because this was incredible! he had built the telescope fast, and the map, well, that in itself was impressive! he'd mapped out all of the kingdom. ]

I am interested... [ sebastian replies without missing a beat. this is a once in a lifetime opportunity. though it's technically the second for him, but he'd been busy the first time around. ] But before I get into that... would you mind letting me in. [ a smile as he knocks at the door. yep. he'd been on his way over! and with a gift. ] I have something for you, my friend. [ it's a lyre~~~! ]

[There was no way that Ciel was going to pass up an opportunity like this. His manor had been decorated with lavish paintings created by some of the world's finest... he had a sort of appreciation for those that possessed such talent in their field. Leonardo da Vinci also possessed such a great mind. He certainly wouldn't regret helping to fund such an exemplary figure.

Was this really the same guy that Ciel had been playing Dungeons and Dragons with...? Cough. No one would believe it back in his own time. Not that he had anyone to tell.]

Evening Mr. Da Vinci. [He had debated using the Italian equivalent, but as he only had picked it up from hearing others use the term.... he stuck to English] I am quite interested in both purchasing a map and I would be only too glad to commission one of yours works.

This is the first time I've ever seen a map for this place. [Look at all the other worlds to be on and she was stuck slumming it on Destiny Island. Her skin was going to be a wreck if it was exposed to this kind of sunlight all the time.] How long did it take you?

[She sighed a bit plaintively, she was trying to be enthusiastic for him and failing. Oh how she'd love to commission theatrical equipment of ANY kind]

I would commission something..... but like you saw, I'm in the same predicament that you are.

I'm sure you'll be getting a lot of requests for this... but I'd like one of those gorgeous maps myself.

[Thankfully, Kaname has had plenty of time to peruse Beast's library since he's been here for nearly a year so Leonardo's name has come up a few times]

Since.. it seemed like he would be here for a great duration... perhaps.. there was something he could do with the munny he'd accumulated.] I might be interested in becoming a regular patron.
