[ Video / Traverse Town Action]
[Leonardo stood on the precipice of the clock tower in Traverse Town, the highest point in the city. He was bent over a wonderful new invention... well, to him it was new, it was called a telescope! The painter looked from the machine to his notes to jot down an observation in a messy backwards Italian mirrored script. ]
[(The worlds are not fixed.)]
[Then he looked back to the stars he was gazing at through his new toy... or at least he would have if the moogle standing behind him hadn‘t picked that moment to pitch a bit of a, “how much longer is this going to be, kupo!” tantrum.]
Si, si, nearly done. Just a final world...
[Leonardo returned to his note to expertly jot in the final piece, just a quick sketch of the one world that was missing from this commission. ]
And, there! Tutto fatto!
[(All done!)]
You might want to be careful with it my friend, the ink will still be wet.
[The warning doesn’t stop the moogle from wandering over and shining it’s camera down on the commission he paid for. A map of the worlds of Star Kingdom. Just what he wanted!
/

/
And sadly somewhere, in a Traverse Town house... Dante‘s poor home would be littered with sketches and notes outlining the progression of this piece. Leonardo was not the most tidy or organized person around. It could be weeks before the poor kitchen table could be found again. This is what can happen with a disordered houseguest around.]
Is the machine still on? [The moggle nods.] There is something I should ask while it is.
I am currently looking for commissions. If you need a sculpture or a painting done I would be at your service. I also have some experience with machinations for moving water, war machines, and theatrical equipment... though I am told that expertise might be a bit dated. Oh! If you would like a copy of the map? It might come in handy for your journeys?

fangirlsmile on the inside, because this was incredible! he had built the telescope fast, and the map, well, that in itself was impressive! he'd mapped out all of the kingdom. ]I am interested... [ sebastian replies without missing a beat. this is a once in a lifetime opportunity.
though it's technically the second for him, but he'd been busy the first time around.] But before I get into that... would you mind letting me in. [ a smile as he knocks at the door. yep. he'd been on his way over! and with a gift. ] I have something for you, my friend. [ it's a lyre~~~! ]video; → action;
Grazie, amico mio!
[(Thank you, my friend!)]
My moogle friend suggested the idea and as I was curious about the other worlds I had heard so much about anyway... it sounded like the perfect commission to take.
[At the knock, Leonardo wandered over to open the door onto the small landing where his temporary observatory had been constructed on the clock tower. ]
That is very polite of you, but you needn't have knocked. I believe anyone is allowed to come up here.
Something for me you say?
[He half expected to see a codex page needing deciphering but was even more surprised to discover a lyre!]
Oh, but this is too much! Something like this...
[He is amazed, absolutely amazed.]
I certainly won't be charging you for the map!

and oh does the most shit eating grin split his face.he of course hides it as best he can manage. ] Is your curiosity sated, my friend, or would you like a tour? I'd not be opposed to taking you on a trip around each of the worlds.[ pockets the communicator. he didn't want to intrude, especially if leonardo was still in the middle of something. ] Yes! [ no no. sebastian's not going to pester you with anything of that
just yet. ]No no. It's a gift. Please! [ blinks. ] But isn't the map for another client of yours?

[There was no way that Ciel was going to pass up an opportunity like this. His manor had been decorated with lavish paintings created by some of the world's finest... he had a sort of appreciation for those that possessed such talent in their field. Leonardo da Vinci also possessed such a great mind. He certainly wouldn't regret helping to fund such an exemplary figure.
Was this really the same guy that Ciel had been playing Dungeons and Dragons with...? Cough. No one would believe it back in his own time. Not that he had anyone to tell.]Evening Mr. Da Vinci. [He had debated using the Italian equivalent, but as he only had picked it up from hearing others use the term.... he stuck to English] I am quite interested in both purchasing a map and I would be only too glad to commission one of yours works.
[Nothing Religious 8/]
Video
[Of Vinci... Leonardo of Vinci, it was the town in which he was born and not a surname. Those hadn't been invented yet. It was very confusing for him.]
You can have a map of course. What kind of commission were you interested in? A Madonna for your parlor or maybe something larger like an entire scene from the Bible?
[His religious pieces were very popular back then! ]
Video
They are trying to be polite, I would imagine. Calling someone by their first name, with such familiarity is frowned on in some societies. Leonardo, then.
[He at least agreed to start calling him that]
[OH GOD.. not religious x.x]
I was thinking of something a little different from your usual subjects. [...Now what did he want...?]

This is the first time I've ever seen a map for this place. [Look at all the other worlds to be on and she was stuck slumming it on Destiny Island. Her skin was going to be a wreck if it was exposed to this kind of sunlight all the time.] How long did it take you?
[She sighed a bit plaintively, she was trying to be enthusiastic for him and failing.
Oh how she'd love to commission theatrical equipment of ANY kind]I would commission something..... but like you saw, I'm in the same predicament that you are.
Video
[The telescope! ]
Si, perhaps when both of our circumstances are better.
[I can't even afford to offer you something free as a side project... well, expect for the... ]
Would you care for a map at least? It might help you in your search for sponsors. No charge at all.
[Its the least he can do to try and help out someone down on their luck. ]
Video
[Massie had never even been near a telescope before..]
[Normally.. a Block wouldn't accept charity for themselves... but.... ]
If.. it wouldn't put you out too much, I'd appreciate that.

Video - SEE THIS ICON.. AND FEAR IT
[Washu thought to herself out loud, but ohhhh you could tell that she was impressed~!]
It's remarkable~! [She gazed at the top left hand portion of the map and couldn't help but wonder what mysteries may be hidden in that expanse of space..]
I'm sure you'll be getting a lot of requests for this... but I'd like one of those gorgeous maps myself.
[Then she'd make a copy of it and the original would never leave her room 8D]
Video - O_O
It's just a small map, not very detailed...
[He can work fast when he is really interested in something. ]
But, I am glad that you like it. New worlds can always be added if they should appear. There are a few dark areas out there that light can not penetrate... I wonder if worlds hide behind those barriers.
[You two are on the same page here. Where else would an ENTIRE world hide anyway? ]
Video
It's detailed enough!
[Stop being so modest.. gloat like I do 8D!]
I was just wondering the same thing. Who knows.. maybe one of us will be the first to discover a new world~!
[She sounds positively giddy]

[You're not the only one looking for work.....cough]
You know. It might be a hassle for you to delivery all these items yourself... I know some one that would deliver them for you.
For free, If you catch my drift?
Video
[And traveling between world? Why he had never done that before either! ]
Some one would be willing to do that? Not you, Hermes?
[To ask that of someone, let alone one who was an ancient God. ]
But you should get something for the task, perhaps a map? Would a God even have use for a map?
Video
[For Hermes it was easy. He didn't even need to use a gummi ship]
Mm hmm. Someone might. [He waited for Leonardo to circle the ring there...] You got it Leonard-ster.
No, really it's no trouble. You see, delivering messages is my scene. Being here.. I really haven't had all that much to do. You'd be doing me a favor, by saying yes.

Signore Da Vinci. [He hesitated briefly. There really was no benefit for him in suggesting such an arrangement other than.. his own curiosity as to what the man might be capable of. Since.. it seemed like he would be here for a great duration... perhaps.. there was something he could do with the munny he'd accumulated.] I might be interested in becoming a regular patron.
There would be a few conditions.. but nothing that would be too much of a hindrance for you, I believe.
Video - Private
Capisco. What would those conditions be, Messer?
[(I understand.) ]
Video - Private
Just that you never mention that I'm funding your work. I would also like to see the finished projects but beyond that.. I have no other conditions.
[He's not even asking for you to send anything to him.]
Use the funds as you will for any project you see fit.

[The boy exclaimed incredulously. If he hadn't just seen it with his own eyes, he might have been unable to believe it.]
That looks like just the sort of thing that everyone could use. How much are you asking for a copy?
[He'd just arrived.. and didn't have much munny himself.]
Video
[you are the first one to be surprised by that. ^^]
I allow my moogle friend to worry about the pricing. I'm not sure what would be a fair rate for it myself.
[Higher priced than a normal, boring map, but still inexpensive enough for some one to actually buy. The moogle doesn't want Leonardo taken advantage of by not understanding today's monetary systems.
The moogle explains this and quotes his price.]
Video
[Little kid doodles are not always the best.]
[skdfjskjdskljdlskj It might be reasonable but it sounds impossible for Mokuba at this time. Now this is awkward.]
Um.. I'll think about it and get back to you on that.
[Least it was caught on the communicator... if he can make out the names around the planets, he wouldn't need a physical copy]

In this world, everyone is endowed with their own special talents. This, sir, is clearly one of yours.
[His features relaxed and he smiled at the camera]

[(I humbly thank you, Mr.)
Leonardo responds with a polite formal bow very grateful for such glowing praise.]
That is a very kind and more gracious thing to say.
