[ Ever since she's come to in Traverse Town, something's been in the back of her mind, occasionally touching the tip of her tongue. And only now has she had the courage to ever actually say anything about it. ]

You know... There's just something about the mist that really bothers me. I mean... I've seen darkness controlled a little before. [ She controls it for that matter when she makes corridors, after all. ] ...But never like that. Before I always thought of the Heartless when I thought of darkness. But now...

[ She's just... not sure what to think entirely. And, really? She feels like she should know something like this. It's not like she's never heard of darkness before. It's what she constantly sought after, destroying Heartless, collecting hearts... What it boils down to is the dawning that it's not just the Heartless to blame for all this darkness... though with it comes this sinking feeling. Because the more she thinks on it, the more it hits her that things just got a lot trickier. ]

I guess so. [ At least on account of the thinking. But this is someone who just does that a lot out of habit. ]

But I don't think waiting will get us anywhere. [ It never did for her before. ]

I guess you're right. People tend to prefer action, rather than waiting, right?

Well... Waiting doesn't change anything. So, I guess... I just want to figure out whatever I can in the meantime. [ And keep scoring the worlds for that matter. Guess who's been a busy little bee. ]

You've seen darkness controlled before?

Yeah... I have. [ She pauses for a moment, debating. ]

I've seen people use it before to make portals to other worlds. [ Never mind she's done it, too. But with how negatively darkness is perceived, it might not be a good idea to tell the whole network that she can channel it. ]

[Considering Naoto's Persona has Dark based attacked, she isn't one to judge.]

So they can travel without the use of a Gummi Ship? [That is pretty good, but at the same time... the darkness here is more unstable, so they must of had a lot of control over it.]

[ And she might be relieved to know that when she does despite being completely oblivious and 'eh...' at the moment. ]

Yeah... It wouldn't surprise me if they never even used them before. [ Considering they never even mentioned gummi ships to her. Now that she knows the name of them, she can recognize them even from those other memories of hers, but before? She'd had no idea that that had been the thing Sora had used to get around to other worlds. ]

I think the mist bothered a lot of people. But I'm curious to know what you think about it all.

I'm not sure what to think. [ Perhaps that's the scariest part of all. ]

Leon said it's some sort of... entity. All I can think of is Heartless, but... I've never seen the Heartless do something like this. He brought up Maleficent, too. [ Come to think of it, hadn't Ven mentioned her before? ]

-but it doesn't sound like she's the source. Just part of things. So, what is it? [ And how could something even be this powerful? Not just to consume one world but to attack all of them extensively? Even if it's receded now, that doesn't change the reality. ]

[Kairi remembered what Leon said, but Kairi couldn't put two and two together herself, so it was a lot harder to think, rather than make it easier for them, she feels as if it's a lot harder now.]

Maybe we'll find out soon.

Maybe. I don't really know... [ And she's not someone to believe that answers will just get handed out like candy. -Not that she thinks you feel that way, Kairi, but whoa. Optimism. Though it isn't as if they have no direction to go at least... That doesn't change one thing though.. The question that perhaps she meant to ask in the first place. ]

I know that Darkness comes from people's hearts. It's... how the Heartless are made, right. But... what is darkness?

Tidus! [ She can't help but brighten at the sight of him. She thought he'd... But then she'd thought the same of Ven. That mist... Still. ]

I'm glad- to see you're okay. [ Never mind derailing this entire conversation. Anyone she knows? Their well being comes before her own concerns. For for that brief instant, they're forgotten. ]

[ That was more than just nothing, and you know it, sir. But... she can put two and two together all the same. It must have had something to do with the mist. Just like Ven and Terra. Musa, too.

She smiles faintly all the same. Just a brief flicker before her expression falls solemn again. ] So, what do you think it is? [ It doesn't seem like he's ever seen something like it either, but she's kinda been in it for a second opinion here anyway. ]

[ Aqua... Even living in the same world as her, Xion's seen her sparingly lately. Er... partly because she's been running around on all sorts of worlds away from the others. So, it's good to hear from her. ]

It sounds like Leon has an idea, so I'm going to that meeting. [ He had called for the keybearers. ] It's still a little hard to believe though. I mean the worlds have always had problems with Heartless, but...

It hasn't always been Heartless. But yes, there's always been darkness in the worlds.

[It's just that sometimes the worlds can manage fine on their own... or could, once.]

It's not a bad thing for at least one of us to go to that meeting, though. We can't help if we stay here.

It's just... so weird to think that darkness could be controlled like this on such a big scale. [ And in such a dangerous manner at that. ]

Not even the Heartless got this bad... [ Of course, it probably helped that she and Roxas had been out there taking many of them out during their existences. ] What could control something like this anyway? How is it even...?

Who him? No, impossible! He's the picture of innocence.

Is it usually more chaotic? Less under someone's control?

Terra.... [ She hesitates at first, not quite sure if she should bring things up. But in the end, perhaps an indirect approach wouldn't hurt. ]

..Are you okay? [ He had thought she and the others were dead, after all. ]

I'm fine. [ he looks confused for a moment, wondering why she had even asked that. then-- ]

Yes, I'm fine. I'm... I'm feeling much better. I'm really sorry for what happened before. I thought that everyone was gone because of me. I'm really glad to see that you're okay though.
