[Mamoru has lived the last few years of his life with talking cats, so speaking with a moogle seems run-of-the-mill, and he's never been one to turn away help. So he allows the creature to go over the functions of the phones and the munny, not quite realizing he's already being filmed on his device.]
Our worlds are gone. [It's a fact, one he doesn't need to verify. The fact that the Earth is gone is an acute loss that he feels.] So where are we?
A few worlds are left, kupo... You made it to one.
Have there been others?
Lots and lots, kupo!
I see, that's good.
[Did that mean she and the others had made it too?
Usako...
He reaches out with his heart, his mind, his spirit, into the new world he stood on and the space around it, searching for answers. Usako, are you here? He wants to hear her voice--see her face--feel her life somewhere near to him--so he keeps looking and calling out. She has to be there, he tells himself, because he has faith in her and in their love. Surely their destinies wouldn't part ways at such an important time.]
Would you like to speak with them, kupo?
[He nods, a short and efficient gesture that's somehow still polite.]
Go right ahead, kupo! Your device is working.
[He takes a breath to steady himself, if only because he wants to run out and find Usagi more than anything. But he also knows he needs to be practical about all of this. If he's the only one that's made it, he needs to get back as soon as possible so it doesn't worry her.]
My name is Mamoru Chiba. By now I've gathered that it's not unusual for people to appear on these worlds from others--though what kind of people remains to be seen.
[He pauses for just a moment. He doesn't need to ask for Usagi--he won't--because if she's here they'll find each other.]
Maybe someone can tell me more about the nature of this darkness that's swallowed our homes. What - or who - is behind them and what we can do to help... I'd like to know.

The sound of a familiar voice coming from her communicator is carried to her ears on that small breeze, and for a moment Usagi can't manage to will her hand into her pocket.]
Mamo-chan...? [Her fingers find the communicator, hesitating only a moment before she opens it up. She thought, for a moment that perhaps she was fooling herself -- but the image in front of her confirms what she'd though.]
Mamo-chan! [The shockd, disbelieving expression melts from her features quickly, only to be replaced by the brightest, most affectionate smile imaginable. He's really here!]
[Reaction/Video]
Of course, by the time he sees her on the device he's adopted the calm attitude he always wears. Usagi's smile, though, earns a small smile from him in return.]
I can't take my eyes off of you, Usako. [And he doesn't want to, truth be told.] I hope I didn't leave you waiting long.

Mmn-mm. Don't worry! You're here now! [She pauses, glancing off screen for a moment before she starts to quickly wander in the direction of where most of the new arrivals wound up. She can't help it, she's anxious to see him.]
[Even as she hurries in the direction she assumes he's in, she glances back at the communicator with a softer expression.] I'm so glad you're safe.

[But this is said with a small, reserved smile-- one that hints at teasing. She's happy to see you, Mamoru.]
There's a lot to tell about this darkness. Right now, a witch called Maleficent is behind much of it near as we can tell. [And they're planning an attack, but she'll tell him that in a more secure setting.] She controls creatures of darkness that feed off hearts. They're the same creatures that have been taking our homes.

[Rei is one of the senshi with a good head on her shoulders; he's relieved Usagi had at least one of them to look after her in his absence.]
Creatures that feed off of hearts? [Sounds uncomfortably familiar.] Could she be a disciple of Galactica, in search of star seeds?

--But there... is an entity at her back. An entity of pure darkness. It fuels her with more power than anyone who knew her before ever thought possible. No one knows what it is or where it's come from.

All on know that people haven't already said is the fact that the darkness spreads. I figure that's how it managed to take over worlds.

I've had a lot of experience with creatures of darkness... enough to know that they're never happy with what they have. What keeps this world safe, I wonder.

[He held out a hand to shake. So he'd never made it to America, but he'd practiced some on how to greet foreigners.]

Everyone was here at some point, but after some time we've lost a few and well we don't see much of a couple of others, but we know they're here somewhere.
[She knows Makoto seems to be doing her own thing, they don't really see her much if at all.]
