[LOCKED from Dante]

[At first, the network will get a good shot of a shiny new droid, custom made by the technicians at the Jedi Temple and... well, tinkered with a bit by Obi-Wan. He didn't want this thing hacking into any computer systems or any other sorts of similar business. The recipient of this new droid got into enough trouble on his own.]

Well, then. It's finished at last. [He gives the robot a lopsided smile and a quick shine with his sleeve before turning the feed around.] But before I deliver it to who it was built for... If you are harassed by a tall, obnoxious man and his droid in the near future, I apologize profusely.

Do not ask me why I'm doing this. I think I've gone mad, really, but you all deserve an advanced warning.

[And with that, Obi-Wan switches the feed off and goes to deliver the gift.]

[ACTION]

[At long last, Obi-Wan shows up on Dante's doorstep with the droid and... yes, that's a jedi robe bundled under one of his arms. He reconsidered this many times, but here he is nonetheless, with the droid and the jedi robe he promised ages ago. He takes deep breath, hopes to the Force he doesn't regret this, and knocks.]

Dante, it's Obi-Wan.

[Oh god, was this for who she believes it was for. If so she was going to be hassled more, or worse, she could be demoted for the droid. She certainly hoped not.]

I believe the advanced warning was a good thing, so I know what to expect.

[Poor, poor Naoto.]

Right... You work for him. [Beat.] Perhaps he won't bring it to work? [Wishful thinking.]

Work for him seems to be true. Though it depends on what you mean by work. [She doesn't really see Dante actually work himself.] Who knows, if he does then it's not a problem since he works in a different office.

It's the tall, obnoxious guy's birthday today isn't it?

That's right. I tried to forget about it, but I couldn't.

[He's just kidding about trying to forget, though. ...Maybe.]

I can't forget about it, he'd get very mad if I did.

[She laughed slightly at the going mad bit.]

You put up with him to?

Oh, yes. For some insane reason I can never comprehend, I consider him a friend.

You're Musa, aren't you?

I guess he has that... I guess you could it charm about him.

[She nods slightly.] That's my name.

[Oz pauses for a moment.]
Who exactly was it built for? [He has an idea, but needs to make sure.]

[There's so much sarcasm dripping from the first part of that statement, it could start a flood. It really makes you wonder why he's giving him such an awesome gift, doesn't it?]

[It makes Oz laugh slightly to say the least.]

I didn't know it was his birthday. I should of really got him something considering he's my boss. [And now you know who he works for Obi-Wan.]

What.... exactly is that thing?

It's a droid. They're sort of like... mechanical beings, or computers that can walk and sometimes talk. They're responsible for most repairs and the overall environmental management here at the Jedi Temple.

[He can't help but stare at it. It certainly was something different.]

It seems so advanced than what I'm use to. the closest thing we had to electronics were the wireless golems.

[ ... ]

[ DISAPPROVING GLARE. _{why would you DO such a thing?} ]

[He... really doesn't know. That glare is a bit unnerving, though, and Obi-Wan can't help but return one of his own.]

[Dante was still enjoying his presents when Obi-Wan came knocking. His eyes instinctively went down to that thing under his arm.]

Come on in, the house is a mess but it's Leo's fault. Bastard is dirtier than I am.

[ He'll eventually learn to build his own droid, at least that's one of his goals.]

Does it have built in weaponry?

And... you were worried that I would unleash a fearsome invention upon the populace?

[Or at least he'd always acted leery of her work and she couldn't resist teasing him about it now]
