--ease don't hurt me, k-kupo! [The communicator has clattered to the ground it seems, giving anyone watching a front-row seat to the scene unfolding. A silver-haired man in all black towers over the moogle, looking down on it with a disgusted expression.] Then YOU took me away from Mother and my brothers!

Don't lie! [Frustrated, confused, and on the verge of tears, Loz grabs the moogle by its pom-pom and starts shaking it.] Tell me where you're hiding them!

K-KUPOOO-O-O! I k-know nothi-i-ing!

You told me you had answers! I don't like this GAME!

[And Loz proceeds to fling the moogle down the street. Luckily, one can hear a loud 'BOFF!' in the background, implying something broke the moogle's fall. It's well enough to panic and start running, but Loz doesn't like that either.] HEY! I'm not done! [With that, the last thing the feed sees is the bottom of Loz's boot accidentally landing on top of it.]

[If this just wasn't a day of days. Cid just finished speaking with...himself, technically, in the item shop. After leaving and swearing to never get that fat, he just so happened to stumble across another blast from the past. Hurting a moogle. Now, Cid isn't fond of them, himself, but he also knew the things were harmless. So, Cid comes to its rescue.

He unhooks the Venus Gospel from the strap on his back and calls out to Loz.]

Hey, you fuckin' loser! Why don't you annoy somethin' that can actually fight back?!

Hmmm...

You wanna play, huh? When I win, you'll tell me Mother is.

[And....that would be Cid flying back several (read: about twenty) feet. Thankfully, his own natural resistance to strong attacks makes the blow a lot less punishing, even if the added shock wave fucking hurt. He gets to his feet and concentrates slightly, activating the speed materia he has within his weapon. He'd need all the help he could get here.]

How about I do you one better? I'll tell ya right now. Your mom's fuckin' dead. Just like the other frilly wannabes that you hang out with. We might be the only ones left.

[He grips his spear tightly and rushes forward before jumping into the air above Loz. Once in range, he settles his spear point-down and settles into a swift dive.]

[Just staring in horror.]

[Stunned horror soon gives way to fury.]

[She lowers her voice a notch, not wanting to agitate him more than he already is or have this dissolve into a yelling match.]

No, I'm not lying. Heartless are creatures made of darkness, and they're consuming the worlds one by one -- yours included. [She sighs.] I'm sorry, but... For the time being, your world is gone.

Mother...! She... can't be gone!

[Aqua looks startled at first, to see a grown man surely bigger and older than Terra just burst into tears. But she can sympathise, too, after all she's lost to the darkness.]

I'm sorry. New arrivals show up all the time, so there's a chance she's not lost to you. She might even be here already... so don't give up hope.

[Just a few weeks ago she remembers speaking to a mother searching for her son in the same way. It breaks her heart to see families being separated.]

I know she is! Mother is perfect and she'd never let these Heartless... things take her away! And I'm gonna find her-- even if I have to do it without my brothers.

[Aqua is still a little baffled, but she keeps her tone gentle.]

What's her name, and what does she look like? Maybe I can help find her.

[Soubi is leaning against the wall of a building, watching the scene unfold across the street. He calls out at the stranger starts chasing the moogle.]
