[Corralling dust bunnies amid a tiny cloud of dust a small brown mouse sings as she uses the feather she found to sweep a little under some of the furniture in the room she was sharing with Rapunzel. It was the least she could do really, to help clean the place up a bit. Mrs. Brisby hasn’t noticed she is being recorded and that she is actually giving a live concert of her song. ]

[Aqua listens in silence to the song, a smile on her face. Finally, she can't help but interrupt.]

That's so beautiful... You have a very lovely voice.

[Mrs. Brisby startles and looks around for the source of the voice. Once she notices the video has been recorded she can’t help but smile a little shyly. ]

Aa… Thank you, I didn’t know anyone was watching.

I'm sorry. I would have spoken up sooner, but it would have been a shame to interrupt your song.

No, that’s alright. I don’t mind, really.

[Still she is a little shy about it, evidenced as she gently wrings her hands together. ]

I just didn’t know I was giving a concert. [A tiny light laugh. ]

[Aqua smiles warmly. What a sweet little mouse.]

Intentional or not, I enjoyed it. Thank you.

No, thank you. That is a very nice thing for you to say.

I usually just sing for... [Pause, then in a slightly softer voice.] ... my children.

[But, she rallies and seems fine again in a moment. ]

It is nice to know they aren't the only ones who enjoy my singing.

[Another one separated from family? That makes her face fall a little.]

I hope you'll be able to sing to them again soon.

I should be able to. They are only lost not gone forever, at least that is what everyone says.

That's right. The worlds have fallen into darkness, but they're not destroyed for good. They can still be saved.

Please, do you know how we can do that? Everyone I have asked about… they just didn’t seem to know the answer.

[She thinks back to the realm of darkness, and finding the Castle of Dreams. It was claimed by the darkness, but it wasn't gone, or destroyed. She believes there's still some chance of saving it, just like all the other worlds no longer in the realm of light.]

I can't give you any certain answers yet, but we will find a way. The balance between light and darkness has been turned in favour of the darkness, but there will be a way to push the darkness back. There are some very strong people fighting in favour of the light, and if they work together, it might just be enough.

The balance is…
[Not fully comprehending all of this but she decides this much in an instant. ]

If there is anything I can do. I… I would like to help put things back to the way they were.

For now, just keep singing your songs and keeping people's spirits up. If there's anything more, I'm sure you can help when the time comes.

[She smiles and wanders over the video recording device that is bigger than she is. ]

There must not be very many talking mice where you come from?

I have always been able to. Really, it is more of a surprise that humans are able to understand what I have said.

[He shakes off the wierdness.]

[She smiles sweetly at the boy. ]

I’m Mrs. Brisby.

[A talking, walking mouse is one thing, but a married mouse is over the top.]

Wait, What? You're married?

Well, yes… I mean I was… I… Jonathan died several months ago…

[She still misses him too, so her voice does take on a bit of sadness. ]

I only just found out it was because of the Farmer’s cat, Dragon.

[Now he feels like a heel.]

[Now she feels bad for making him feel bad. ]

[It's ok, he bounces back fast!]

Ah, thank you. [Suddenly shy again. ]

[ewww. He just notices that as small as she is, she might be able to get into smaller places.]

Have you ever gone treasure hunting before?

[Treasure hunting? Her curiosity is sparked. ]

No… not really. Do you do a lot of treasure hunting?

[She just created a really happy treasure hunter.]

It's the greatest thing in the world! I haven't made to all these new worlds yet, but I'll get there!

You should come with me!

Come with you? No… I…

[She stops and thinks this over more carefully. Her first reaction is to claim she isn’t brave enough to be an adventurer but maybe if she traveled to the other worlds more she could find some clues. She did desperately want to find her children again. ]

Maybe… I could do that. I really have only been to Traverse Town and a short visit to Beast’s Castle, but maybe if some one on one of the other worlds would know where to find my children…
I should go there and ask them.

I'll look after you Mrs. Brisby if you want.

[Human or Mouse, he'll protect you.]

You'd have to search ever small crack for them.

[And if they found treasure in the process all the better. All of a sudden, a huge grin graced his face.]

I will have to say goodbye and thank Rapunzel before I leave. Since I have been staying with her I should let her know about this.

[And since she really has no interest in treasure beyond the sparkly she wore… more for him, maybe. ]

I'm not sure we've met yet. Are any of the lands more suitable for ... mice?

[At least he won't try to take her sparkly.]

She is a very nice young girl with really long blonde hair.

[As for which worlds were best for mice… ]

I’m afraid I don’t know all that much about the other worlds. Do you?

I've been to a few of the worlds, but I'll ask around to see which world we should try!

[There's a few of us honest treasure hunters in the world.]

That sounds like a good place to start.
