[It's been a long time in coming. Aqua has devoted most of her time to watching over Ven, but she knows her duties are just as important as her friendship. This can't wait any longer, and she's out of the loop on so much. She can't just sit back and do nothing when other people are suffering, when more worlds are being claimed day after day. She knows Ven would understand.

So, she contacts one of the only people she knows is still around from all that time ago, one who knew all that had happened. Someone who can shed some light on all this, past and present. She sends a private call to King Mickey.]

[Aqua remembered him only as Yen Sid's apprentice. She hadn't even realised he was a king -- much less married to Queen Minnie -- and at first she isn't sure how to go about addressing him. But she remembers Minnie never liked formalities, and Mickey was much the same. So, she tries not to fall into formalities for her address, treating him as she would any old friend.]

Mickey? This is Aqua. I'm very sorry I've been gone for so long, and for not getting in touch sooner. Ven is... He hasn't changed.

[She pans to show Sora's bed, where Ven is still sleeping. Then the camera moves back to her where she sits by the bed.]

I just thought you should know, but that's not why I called. I was hoping I could arrange an audience with you, to speak on all that I've missed. The darkness... The Heartless... Master Xehanort... I need to know everything. I've seen worlds consumed by darkness with my own eyes, I've spoken to people displaced from their homeworlds, and I'm willing to do anything I can to help stop the darkness.

If you could please tell me anything you think I need to know, I'd be very grateful. In exchange, I can tell you what little I've learned since we last met. And, well... It would be nice to see you again, Your Majesty. [She smiles, but it's a smile tinged with sadness and the burden of responsiblity.] Thank you. [And she cuts off the feed.]

[Later, Aqua can be found sitting on the beach on Destiny Islands once more, petting Vaporeon and watching the Pokemon splash in the shallows. Aqua's going to miss the water creature, even if she's only leaving for a little while, so she's saying her goodbyes. Feel free to bother her!]

[The young Viera is roaming the beach, walking along the waves as they slip around her ankles. She is heading in the general direction of Aqua, though isn't paying attention to much, her expression somewhat melancholy.]

[Aqua looks around when she sees movement from the corner of her eye. She's not surprised to see a woman with rabbit ears, but she does frown with worry when she sees her sad expression.

It doesn't take Aqua long to reach a decision. She stands and brushes sand from her clothes as the Viera gets closer, then speaks up and addresses Mjrn.]

Excuse me...

[She snaps out of her haze, startled yet not wanting to be rude.]

Sorry to bother you, but is everything okay? I couldn't help but notice you seem troubled.

[It's not her business to pry, but in her travels, she's always been there to listen to people's concerns and try to help them. She's a peacekeeper, a protector of order -- it's just become a natural part of her job.]

[Mjrn is silent for a moment, wavering on her answer. She doesn't want to impose on anyone, especially when so many suffer the same fate. Still....

The young Viera stares downward.]

...I am. I have sought others from my world, yet there are none. It seems I am the sole survivor.

[Her answer is murmured quietly. It feels like countless worlds have been lost.]

Others may appear eventually. You can't give up hope just yet.

[Yet, the moogles seemed to have given everyone those communicators. Wouldn't they have heard her message, earlier. She doesn't voice that, though, grateful for the attempt at reassurance nonetheless.]

[Aqua doesn't put complete faith in communicators. Ven is here, after all, only comatose. He couldn't use the network. Other people might be the same, albeit in different circumstances.]

My name's Aqua. I'm... not from this place, either. [It's still weird to say. She'd concealed the fact there were other worlds for so long, but now that knowledge is freely known throughout each world. Master Eraqus would be deeply concerned, if he were here... but there's little she can do now.]

[She hesitates, debating on telling her. Then she nods.]

Yes, it was. But that was a long time ago.

I am sorry. To experience such loss...it still seems unreal.

I know little of it, save that it is called the Restoration Committee. I thought perhaps they might know of means to what we seek.

I would be more than happy ta fill you in to the best of my abilities. You have the right to know, after all! I'll be honest, we're still not entirely sure what's causin' this influx of Darkness yet but I'll still try ta give you any information I can. The more help we can get, the better!

As far as time's concerned, I'm usually free at night, around 6 and after or so! Any day when it's convenient for ya, head on over ta Disney Castle and just give 'em your name. I'll make sure ta tell the moogles I'm expectin' ya. They'll send ya on over.

[Vaporeon continues to leap and splash in the water, and Aqua is so distracted with watching the Pokemon, she doesn't notice Kairi's approach. When she does, she blinks and almost does a double-take. Speaking to an older Kairi over the network was one thing, but seeing how much the girl had grown when she barely reached Aqua's knee before is a startling difference.]

Oh -- Kairi!

[Almost as if knowing Kairi was talking about her, Vaporeon runs out the water, still dripping, and nuzzles against Aqua's hand. Then the Pokemon stares up at Kairi with large eyes.]

Por! [The Pokemon continues to look up at her, then pads towards Kairi's outstretched hand. Vaporeon sniffs it, then tentatively licks her fingers.

Aqua watches, smiling slightly.]

That's unusual. She's a little more wary of strangers than that, but she seems to like you.

[Aqua nods, and then something catches her eye.]

That pendant you're wearing... [She reaches as if to touch it, but draws her hand back. Even from this distance she can still sense the enchantment she placed on it. It's a very old enchantment now, but still in place, unfading.] I think that might have been what brought you here, Kairi.

This will sound hard to believe, if you don't remember, but... I met you, when you were just a child. To keep you safe, I placed an enchantment on that pendant.

[She figures Kairi deserves to know that much about her past, if she doesn't remember it for herself.]

Whenever you were in trouble, your light would draw you to the light of another. It must have worked.
