Hiya everybody!

I know things are real confusing right now with the influx of newcomers. The moogles are doin' the best they can, but they can only do so much! So let me try to explain.

You've probably heard a lot about these "King and Queen" figures since you got here. Well! I'm King Mickey and my wife, Minnie, is the Queen! We've been over-seeing these small cluster of worlds - the ones you see on your map! - for a long time, you see. You could sort of say it's our job to make sure they stay in the Light and that everything is running smoothly! We've been able to keep these worlds safe from the Darkness and it's sort of become a refuge for everybody.

I'm sure you're also wonderin' about this "Light and Darkness" business. Well. To put it simply, our worlds are guided by two polar forces: Light and Darkness. They coexist, and one cannot survive without the other. While not all Darkness is bad, this particular Darkness is tryin' to gobble up everything we know. Right now, a lot of it has taken shape as creatures called "Heartless". [He pauses to transfer pictures of a few examples across the feed.] They feed off hearts and are very dangerous, so please be careful if ya see one!

This is hard on everyone and my heart reaches out to all of ya. I know it's not an easy thing to ask, but please try to make yourselves at home. We're doin' everything we can to get your worlds back, I promise!

[Pause... He brings a hand to his chin, looking thoughtful.] Gosh... Am I missing anything?

This is where it gets a little tricky. Most people who have had their heart consumed also become Heartless, but in rare cases if their heart is exceptionally strong-willed, they can also become a Nobody. That is... a being created from what is left after losing your heart: a body and a soul. They are more powerful and dangerous than a Heartless!

You talk about worlds like there is more than one, and that their ending can be undone like erasing a mistake in pencil? And we're just supposed to accept this? This is nuts, completely nuts.

And ooooh, creepy monsters to worry about too. Of course something that ends planets needs to eat hearts, because that's not overdone. What sort of lame joke is this? Who are you really, because you're not Disney's mascot, and how do I get home? Just answer that and I'll not press charges.

I understand your frustration and I'm terribly sorry you're goin' through such a tough time! Sadly, this is no joke... I can't tell ya what ya can and can't do: only you can decide that yourself! All I ask is that ya hear me out.

There have always been other worlds out there. They've just been separated by protective walls, so to speak, making it difficult to see any worlds other than the one you were born on. Until now, those walls have kept the Darkness out. As for the Darkness, it's not necessarily a permanent thing. What you said earlier is actually pretty true! If a world has been lost to Darkness, it can be returned just the way it was. It does take a time and effort, but I assure you this is all true.

We've been able to recover several lost worlds before!

Glad ya asked! If you're more the fighting type, our moogles have put out a "Help Wanted" ad for hunters! Basically, you go out and fight Heartless on your world of choice - or you can travel if ya like! - and bring back the items they drop to the moogles. Not only does this help us keep the Heartless at bay, it helps the moogles create items we can use to bring everybody's worlds back.

If not, we got plenty of other opportunities. Healers, scholars to help us learn more about how to get the worlds back--... After all, knowledge is power! Heck, you can even be a tour guide for the newcomers once you get yourself familiar with a place.

There's a whole bunch of things you can do!

Your Majesty... My name is Lilisette, I'm one of the refugees. Forgive my boldness, but is there anything we can do to help win back our own worlds?

I'm certain there are many among us who would gladly take up arms against even the Heartless if it meant our worlds could be restored.

In fact, there is! Depending on what kind of skills ya have, you could sign up as a hunter. They go out and fight Heartless, takin' the items they drop and bringing them back to the moogles. Not only does that keep the Heartless at bay, but moogles are very crafty! They can use the items that are brought back to create entirely new ones that will surely be a great help to us.

One of the worlds here, Radiant Garden, is home to the Restoration Committee. Theirs is a world that was recently recovered and they've been working real hard on putting their world back together. They actively fight against the Heartless, also!

Every little bit helps and I'm pleased to hear so many are eager to help!

Welp! Every world has walls protecting it-- and also keeping it from connecting with other worlds. The Darkness breaks those walls down and completely covers the world and everything in it. So, you see, it's not technically destroyed. It's just lost!

Well... I guess you don't! You just hafta believe in your heart that what I'm saying is the truth. After all, I can't tell ya what you can and can't believe. That's your choice alone.

It's an awful thing, seein' folks' homes and loved ones taken away from them. I don't like seein' them lose hope. More than anything, I wanna see everyone safely back home so they can continue on about their lives. I guess you could say I gain peace of mind, knowin' everyone's okay!

They come in all different shapes and sizes; the ones I showed ya are just a few of the shapes the come in. Some have elemental affinities, some are ten times a normal person's size...! The list goes on! Just 'cause they look harmless don't mean they are! Remember: you should never judge a book by its cover.
