[Selphie's PCD flickers to life to reveal the vacant cafe in Traverse Town's first district. The bewildered and confused look is gone from her face but that doesn't mean that she understands what's going on around here.]

Well... I've waited a few days to see if I get some information on this place but I haven't had a whole lot of luck yet! So! My name is Selphie Tilmitt. I'm a SeeD from Balamb Garden and arrived in Traverse Town five days ago and I know about as much as when I first got here.

I'm looking for information! What's going on? How do I get home? Where the heck are my friends? How do I travel? What in the world is Gummi Ship? Do other people know me that I don't remember? Just... gimme the low down about what's going on okay?

I need to know if my friends are okay most of all.

I can explain as much as you need to know once I come find you! The Gummi Ship you were talking about is kind of like Ragnarok airship only ... it's not. Well, it is, but it's a weirder version. It's how you travel place to place around here!

So you have a few questions there that I can answer. A Gummi Ship is a ship that can run on smiles and happy thoughts, so people who usually don't do that sort of thing, it will be harder for them to travel without a companion.

You also look a lot like someone I know where I'm from, except much older.
