007 ❀ nightmare!video

[Lizzie sat, dead bodies surrounding her, her hands placed against her head. She was crying, she couldn't stop crying, her body felt numb and scared, all around her bodies laid dead, lifeless and cold. Her dress stained with thier blood, damaged by the raising water down below as well as the amount of damge the monsters dealt with themselves.

She didn't want to move, she couldn't leave his side even though he was no longer here, she failed, she couldn't protect him...she never even got him to smile one more time and this only made her cry more. As she sat there crying over the death of her loved one, a figure slowly stood up among the pile of the dead, slowly making it's way towards the girl.

Elizabeth just cried and cried until she couldn't cry anymore as she slowly moved to holding him close.]

I'm sorry Ciel. I'm sorry I couldn't protect you.

[She started to shiver, not wanting to let go, but knowing she still had to find the way out before the water caught up with her. She had to now carry both Ciel and herself up where the others were, she knew she had to and she knew Ciel after this would need to be put to rest in the proper manner a noble should be.

She turned around, placing him on her back as she finally spotted the figure coming towards her. She was scared, nothing she could use and the only way out was past the monster. The zombie went for her, as Lizzie had taken a step back, tripping over a dead body and fell, thedead body of Ciel landing a distance away.]

Ciel...

[She tried to reach her arm out to reach him, touch his hand at least as more of those... things had started to make there way towards her as for one final time, a tear rolled down her face.]

I'm... sorry.

[Someone died...? And what were those-- zombies? Was it Halloween Town? Every world's in so much chaos it's hard to tell.]

...Get to safety, first. [After all, there wasn't much you could do for the boy, now.]

But... Ciel needs to have a proper burial. I... can't let him go like this.

[A pause. What could he say? Nothing that would make anything alright. Then the scream.]

--! Run! [For a second, Riku wished he could still travel between worlds instantaneously- there was nothing he could do behind a video screen.]

[The feed coming over the comm was surreal, yet something about it looked familiar. The setting.. looked like a dead ringer for the Campania.. not that many ships didn't possess that same nautical look to them. It took a few moments to focus on the screen long enough to realize what he was actually seeing here. Ciel also hasn't been expecting to hear his name...Being the first nightmare he'd noticed on the comm Ciel would be completely baffled as to what was really going on.]

Elizabeth... what are you talking about? I'm right--

...here?!

[Catching sight of his own limp, lifeless body was enough to cause him to hesitate.]

Leave the body! Don't just lay there!

[Whose ever body that was.... it couldn't really be him. Right? Since he was standing right here, holding his communicator in hand]

Ciel... I-I'm sorry... I-I couldn't...

Enough apologizing!

[He shouted, getting frustrated that she still wasn't focusing on the more impending threat of the zombies]

You have to look out for yourself now. [He visibly winced when the zombie caught her hair.] Don't you understand? Once you die, it's all over! You have to get free anyway you can.

[Making a quick sweep of the video he looked for a way she might be able to slip through to get away from the remaining horde. Assuming she could get away from the initial perpetrator]

[He should be there to protect her.. ridiculous as the whole scenario was. No one could really enter someone else's dream, could they. No. The only thing to be done would be to locate the duck.. but where had Lizzie been when she'd come into contact with one. Destiny island... would have been his guess]

Where were you before this started?!

[Her scream was harsh on the ears, and struck him in the core. It may only be a dream but she was really in peril. With her next move however.... Ciel was more than a little surprised. That... seemed.... like it had prior training behind it? Or was it just an adrenaline rush... brought on by the unusual circumstances?]

I don't know, I do remember a castle though.

[I'm sorry Lizzie. For now the comm went silent as Ciel found himself staring dumbfounded at what he was witnessing. There was no mistaking it now. She truly was capable of defending herself. He just couldn't fathom where all of this talent was coming, seemingly out of no where.

This was the same girl who cried at the drop of a hat? ]

[Finally managed to find his tongue... though shakily at first]

Eliz-a.... Lizzie?

[Shaking his head he tried to get a hold of himself. It wasn't that he was disappointed, quite the opposite in fact. He hadn't been sure she'd survive before... but with this.. it put his mind more at ease]

A castle you say? [Disney... Beast....? Ng. Which!?] This is very important Lizzie. Can you remember anything specific about the castle?

Well, it was a very beautiful garden and animals live there, though they can talk.

Talking animals.... [The king and queen? Or Beast?.. It was plural though and it seemed like Beast was the only talking animal in his world. Disney Castle... also happened to be closer.]

Keep your eye out for a yellow duck. [Some people had managed to destroy them in their dreams] If you see it.... destroy it.

Yellow duck?

Okay... I'll keep an eye out.

That's right.... I know it doesn't make a lot of sense right now... but I'll explain everything once you're free.

Ciel, Lizzie is in Disney castle some where being held by one of those nightmare ducks. You take the east wing while I search the west.

[Orders, but for a good cause, saving Lizzie. ]

We will have a better chance of finding her quickly.

[Who died and made you my master 8/... you're giving me orders? He'd be quick to protest but finding Lizzie and that duck is the most important thing right now]

How long have you been calling her Lizzie...

[Mutters the second part, mostly to himself but it's still audible. It should be "LADY" Middleford.. or Elizabeth to you. He makes his way to the castle and begins the search.]

These ducks are everywhere..

[Now some of these nightmare he had fallen for but this one… He had just seen the brat. ]

Don’t worry, Lizzie. None of this is real. Ciel isn’t dead.

[Besides, as a gentleman shouldn’t he be protecting you instead?]

[Up till now Chloé had never actually seen any one injured in one of these nightmares. They just appeared as nuisances that gave people a horrible time but were incapable of actually harming anyone.

That bite, her matching scream… dissolved all of those delusions. ]

Lizzie!

[Chloé was about to suggest something, some tatic that might help the girl escape, when she found a weapon on her own and with the unmistakable movements of a trained swordsman dispatched the creature’s arm.

He was shocked.

A girl like her… knew how to fight with a sword?

Her style was different than Aya’s, more European, and she didn’t attack with the raw abandon of some one used to killing. Even in that frantic moment she was more polished than that. Technically correct.
Even as the wounded creature slunk away though, there were plenty more to take his place.]

Watch out, there are more coming! From the front!

[Yes… not the movements of some one who had faced death many times. She wasn’t an assassin like himself but she was a powerful fencer. These creatures with their lumbering slow attacks were no match for her… but her desire to protect the ‘dead’ body of Ciel was a liability.
The dead couldn’t be saved. ]

You should ignore Ciel for now. There is nothing you can do for him! Protect yourself!

[Good. At least she was finally making her escape. Now… was she at the school or was she still here at Disney castle? It was something he had to ask. Even if she hadn’t been able to respond before finding and destroying that duck before Lizzie’s pursuers could catch up to her had become the top priority. ]

Lizzie, do you remember where you were before? Was it at the Castle?

The castle... I remember a castle.

A large white castle with a blue roof?

[Just to narrow down the list of possible castles. The remaining worlds seemed to have more than their fair share of the massive structures. ]

That's right!

Try not to die until I can find the duck.

[Off to the castle then, just as fast as he can make it there. On the way he contacts Ciel… this is his fiancée after all and not knowing just where in the castle Lizzie was when she was attacked it would be better to have two people looking for her. ]

[Searching the castle from the west wing, room by room, assuming Ciel would be doing the same from the east side. So far none of the moogles or castle residents he had encountered had seen the girl or the strange duck giving her the nightmare but the places where she could be were gradually decreasing. ]

Do your best. It won’t be much longer.

[Said though he had no idea if that were actually true or not. ]
