Ducks, ducks everywhere

[After watching the comm, getting horribly confused by all the televised nightmares… then later learning the source of the distress, Agni has decided to join the fray against the enemy ducks. He’s currently in Radiant Garden, as evidenced by the scenery and confronting some ducks.]

You would not think that something so small could be so troublesome.
Are these .. Truly responsible?

[He doesn’t have long to wait before one of the ducks flings itself at him, trying to share a nightmare with him. A look of surprise crosses his face before he strikes the duck with a fist and forces it backwards]

…. You must abandon this pastime of yours and leave the others alone.

[The ducks don’t heed the request in lieu of resisting]

Then you leave me with no choice…

Be careful. If you become careless for even a moment one of those ducks could touch you.

[And for a martial artist.... that's a very bad thing.]

The illusions are triggered through... contact?

[A very bad thing. *agreed* ]

That’s right. Some how touching them is what triggers the magic. Do you have a weapon? It would be better to use those.

[Looks around and picks up a long wooden stick]

Perhaps this will do the trick.

[Smiles at the other man]

They have illusion powers!

[Oh he wishes that would have come before he struck out at that duck. It's hard to remember not to touch them... especially when one is so used to hand to hand combat.]

Illusions!?

[ Now the duck has taken on the visage of his master. There's no way he can strike at it now...]

Prince Soma? You should be careful. I've heard that thes--

[Prince Soma doesn't say anything as he lunges toward Agni]

Master? What's come over you?

That's not your Master!

If you can't attack it, then retreat!

..but it looks just like him!

[It's uncanny. Prince Soma wouldn't really want to harm him, would he? That combined with Joluk's warnings force him into a retreat. The doppleganger keeps up with the pursuit]

That's the illusion, it could look like anything.

It doesn't seem to be acting like your Master in any way.

[Just evading the illusion doesn't seem to be enough as it won't allow him to escape. He turns to face it again... only now the duck has friends..]

Sebastian...! Earl?!

[He told himself to listen to what Joluk was saying but it was still difficult to raise a hand against not only the image of his Master but also his friends]

No,.... he doesn't.

[He looked to the side for some sort of weapon to use.. but when he looked bad toward his opponents the Phantomhive butler, Sebastian, was already upon him. Through some rapid movements Agni managed to dodge.. but ... he noticed something else about the doppleganger]

Your movements... are ..not as fluid...

Exactly, they're just insulting your friends by wearing their faces!

[Looking briefly to the comm.... he then found a nearby broom to borrow. Touching the ducks seemed to cause more illusions to crop up. with the broom his wouldn't have to touch them]

My apologies...

[He said to the illusions before he stopped holding back. Once he finally faced them it wasn't too hard to fed off the few ducks that had followed]

Forgive me Master. [He said before smacking the one that looked like Soma to the ground. Thankful when it turned back into a rubber duck]

[ He's relieved that Agni was able to get himself out of the illusion.]

You're really strong.

[It was difficult to clobber the image of the fellow butler as well. At least... the prince and the earl were here... but.... but Sebastian was still... trapped back in England. Possibly fighting the heartless as they were fighting these ducks.]

[Once they were dispensed with he turned back to the comm and answered a little sheepishly]

If I wasn't I wouldn't be able to watch over my master.

It's good to know that he's well protected.
