010 ❥☾ [Video & Action in Radiant Garden]

[Despite having helped several people through their own nightmares, Lilisette had yet to be affected. At least until she received a box with no postage at her new home in Radiant Garden. She had popped it open easily with her dagger, but all it took was a brush from the nightmare duck for her to fall into her nightmare.

While in her home she hit the floor hard, in her nightmare she awoke to Lilith's stronghold in the Walk of Echoes--the space that existed deep within the far reaches of time, untouched by time's passing and protected by Atomos. In her nightmare, her alter ego, Lilith laid on the stone floor, defeated. Lilisette remembered this so well--she remembered every detail, and she couldn't stop any of it from happening.]

Lilith? [She moved to kneel beside the form of the downed woman.] Lili--?!

[A clawed hand grabbed her shoulder in a vice, keeping her from moving. Behind her she could hear her best friend and Cait Sith cry out to her, but all Lilisette could feel was the searing pain of Lilith's hand going through her chest.]

Ahaha! A fool to the very last!

[Again her friends cried out to her, called her name, but the cry fell on deaf ears. Lilith grasped her soul--her very being--before she yanked it out again. All around her, feathers fell, fallen from the broken wings of the goddess that she was said to possess. As Lilith examined it, Lilisette slumped forward.]

This is the thing...that felled me...from on high? Ab-absurd...

[Lilith's fist clenched around Lilisette's soul, the light dissipating into the woman's body.]

I refuse to suffer...this humiliation... I will bow...before neither god nor man...

[She then pulled Lilisette forward so that they were chest to chest--wound to wound--and held her there. She didn't need force this time; Lilisette was already nearly gone.]

For the sake...of my people... In the name...of my world... All of your kind...your gods...

[Lilith's bat-like wings spread out behind her, and with the last of Lilisette's strength she turned back toward her friend. All she could do was extend a hand to them--toward the camera--before the wings cocooned her in darkness.]

Shall be given...to the flames!

[There was a searing light that was nearly blinding before the video that was being transmitted ended in static.]

[ Every nightmare seen had some ounce of truth within it. This one in particular felt like a personal nightmare, one of which that had her so absorbed into the scene that the moment she realized it was Lilisette in the scene, it was already too late. The static was more frightening than the actual sight of what appeared to be some weird merging. ]

Lili...?

[ She shook the device a little hoping to resume connection. With no response, the next call of her name was now yelled, able to be heard by anyone within the house. ]

Lili?!

[ And just like that she was already flying out of her room. How many times have she done this already?! If anyone tried to address her, they were not given an answer while she ran for the door. ]

[Hearing Rinoa scream, Leon immediately woke from his inadvertent nap on the couch. She was calling for Lili and then he saw her running..somewhere. Damn it..just when he thought some of the excitement had died down.

Grabbing his gunblade, he didn't even try and call for Rinoa and instead followed her to wherever she was going. Wherever that was, she wasn't going alone. He had told her that he wouldn't let her come to harm.]

Lilisette?!

Fai! Fai, come help! Please! I'm heading to her house! [ because if she wasn't getting a response on her end, she knew it would be the same for him. ]

I'm on my way. I shouldn't be too long, although do you know where exactly she lives?

Yes! It shouldn't be too far from where you are! [ And the directions of where he could find her location is described here, rushed mostly as she's still heading there herself. ]

Okay got it!

[ Did Leon really expect her to stay out of trouble for long? After witnessing whatever it was that happened on screen, Rinoa was already out the door and rushing in the direction of where Lili resided. It didn't matter that she didn't have a clue what would happen on arrival, all that mattered was getting to her friend and maybe destroying the duck that was responsible for this. If that was the case. ]

[ Once there, she immediately rushed to the door and began to knock rapidly, hoping that maybe it was a prank or a joke and that Lili would come out okay. ]

Lili? Lili, it's me! Rinoa!

Stay away!

We can't stay away, not like this!

[Leon scowled and readied his gunblade. Rinoa wasn't far from him, but he looked directly at her.]

Just stay close to me.

[Once that was out there, his attention turned back to the..monstrosity that he hadn't really had time to look at before. All he knew was that Lili was in that twisted mess somewhere and he had to get her out. Somehow they'd get the chipper red haired girl out of that mess and bring her home safe.

Leon's storm blue eyes searched for that stupid duck thing that helped Rin the last time, but he couldn't see such a thing as of yet. And as he searched he could sense a weird sort of protective sense of whatever spell the other person had cast on them.]

[ That ... wasn't what she was expecting when the door opened. Rinoa stumbled back and stood slightly behind the two men while gazing into the nightmare setting of something she never quite seen before. It reminded her of the Guardian Force Siren except ... slightly altered. ]

What is that? Where's Lili?!

[ It didn't quite click to her that what she was seeing was Lili. It didn't make much sense to her at all. All she knew was that if she could find the duck responsible for this, maybe it would destroy the dream. Right? Instead of heeding the warning given by the creature, Rinoa did the exact opposite and ran past both and into the house, intent on finding the duck somewhere within. She wasn't going to simply hang behind an cower! ]

Just keep it distracted! I have to find it!

[Pluto, secretly, was glad she was still in Radiant Garden when this happened. Quickly she searched out the sudden surge of energy that had appeared - the illusion was incredibly strong. And, as always, she appears out of nowhere, jumping in through a window, Garnet Rod and sword twirling.

Whether or not its Lilisette is not at question. She knows the girl is in there somewhere. And she wouldn't kill her, not if they could find the illusion's cause.

But weakening the chimera is perfectly fine with her.]

[Simultaneously she cast a Slowaga, causing the air around her to roar with the power of her attacks as she unleashed them. If she could slow down a possible offensive from the creature, the better the possibility the group wouldn't, well, die..]

Despite the warning...how quickly they flock to the slaughter...

Okay, this isn't an easy battle. Maybe it's much harder than I thought.

[Leon had taken a hit at the Flare and Tornado both, but had managed to somehow land near Rinoa and he readied a Fire spell in retaliation, while swinging his gunblade in the other. He had to get close or at least mid range. More importantly, he had to protect Rinoa and somehow get Lili free.]

[ So much happening at once, Rinoa wasn't sure what to do first. The ancient spells halted her completely in her tracks and cornered her into some area of the room. She watched in horror as Fai flew back then winced when the spell drove her back against the wall herself. Double that with the fact that Pluto's spell had slowed them, this was not going to be an easy fight. Landing on the ground with a hard thud, Rinoa struggled to get back on her feet. ]

T-this isn't going to be easy.

Surrender and leave this body to me.

Now this is an unexpected little bonus...

[Watching this encounter with the greatest interest.]

[Tidus can't fight, so he'll bitch at Hades instead.]

Yes, I wasn’t expecting something like this to happen… ergo, bonus.

Not specifically this. Didn’t I just say this was an unexpected surprise?

The ducks? They were just a little prank.
