[Padmé has listened to every word the moogles have told her, and it's long after they've left that she finally turns to the oddly-shaped communicator. She's wounded, but she turned down the creatures' offers of help. Whatever pain these wounds might cause her hasn't registered to her; a very large part of her is numb.

She knows the dangers of making a public call for help; if the bounty hunter that's after her made it here as well, she's little more than a sitting target for him without Anakin. But if she doesn't do something, her fears will never be put to rest--or confirmed.

So when she turns on the communicator, she's wearing a grim expression.]

I am Padmé Amidala, a Senator representing the thirty-sixth regional state space of the Galactic Senate. The planet I was on-- [she pauses for hardly a beat, but she can't bring herself to say its name;] --met with misfortune. Though it seems this isn't uncommon, it's imperative that I'm contacted by any Jedi that might have survived.

[She won't name Anakin by name; she can't even attempt it.]

If there are any others that can hear me... Please, tell me what I can do to return that world, and any others in the galaxy. I'd do anything to help them.

Has someone been able to direct you to the hotel yet?

The creature from before pointed it out. It shouldn't be hard to find. I can be there in a few minutes.

That would be convenient; most of my own materials are here. I can meet you downstairs.

[She nods, looking around her before she sets off in search of the hotel. It's not all that far away, and when she arrives she waits downstairs, avoiding the glances of those who look at her.

There are claw marks on her shoulder, her side, her arm--all things she would try to hide if Anakin showed up. She couldn't let him think that he let this happen. She didn't wish to see sadness in his eyes any longer.]

[Ami is there waiting, with a makeshift kit she's already put together for herself with basic supplies she's been able to obtain: disinfectant, bandages, and the like. She comes forward as soon as she sees the same girl from the video.]

I'm Mizuno Ami; we spoke just a few minutes ago. Shall we sit down?

I'm Padmé.

[She's no longer a queen, so her first name is fine to use. In fact, it's all she gives out anymore.

She nods, and takes a seat nearby.]

For a doctor, you're young. Is it what you wish to do with your life?

I have a lot of studying to do still before I'll be a doctor. But I can definitely help with this. I've taken courses in basic first-aid and CPR particularly. I do want to become a doctor, like my mother.

May I see the injured area?

It's good to set goals, so long as you keep striving for them. Your mother will be proud.

[She turns so that the marks can be seen around the edges of her torn, turquoise dress. She points to different areas, speaking briefly about each, before she pulls her hair over her shoulder so that the loose curls are out of the way.]

[Ami dabs antiseptic on these first, dipping her cotton swabs and laying them lightly against the affected area with a few quick looks at Padme's face to judge how badly it stings.]

It's alright if you don't want to tell, but if it's alright to ask how you were injured...?

[She makes no sign that it hurts even when it does; she's become used to hiding things like this.]

When the darkness devoured the world I was on, strange creatures appeared. I had to fight them, but there were too many.

[As they continue talking, Ami starts to bandage the wounded areas.]

Please tell me if anything hurts.

It must have been a difficult battle.

You're doing a fine job.

[She looks over her shoulder just enough to offer a reassuring smile.]

It was actually remarkably short. I'm not the most talented of fighters and my protector was absent. It was just disorienting, really.

If you need assistance, please never hesitate to ask, in the future. A situation like that one shouldn't be repeated.

It won't be necessary. I've spoken to a few from the galaxy - the Jedi here - and I'll be placed under their protection.

Good. They'll know best what you need.

They're also old friends. [She smiles fondly in remembrance.] I feel safe with them; they helped to save my world a long time ago, though for them the task has yet to be accomplished. Time works strangely here.

I understand. My friends and I are also from different times. [She finishes wrapping one of the larger wounds.] Do they feel too tight?

[She moves her shoulder gingerly, and then shakes her head.]

It's perfect. You have a knack for this.

[She hesitates for a moment, before she admits something that's actually been bothering her;]

I fear Anakin may arrive here from a different time as well. If he arrives here as a child, or from a future I don't know... I won't know how to react.

If you think like that, you'll become unable to act at all. [She knows it from experience, the worry of so many different possibilities making it impossible to make up her mind firmly.]

[After a moment she nods. The girl has a point.]

Have all of your friends arrived?

No; not yet. But even if they don't, we'll work to bring back that planet and give them their chance still.

I hope they arrive for you soon. Can I help you search for someone?

It's alright. [She finishes up, and sits back to examine her work quickly.]

We'll keep looking.

That we will. Thank you so much for your help; may I compensate you in some way?

[She shakes her head.] Don't worry about it, really. Fortunately, they weren't too bad; they only needed to be cleaned and bandaged.
