[Hello, all you people on the network and especially in Traverse Town. This is Riku with one very important annoncement.]

This communicator has been confiscated until its owner has proven himself capable of operating it. [Which, knowing Sora's lack of aptitude for all things technology, won't ever happen. Good thing that Riku doesn't mind playing secretary.] All complains, requests or messages for Sora can be left with me.

[And yes, he can say this all while keeping an absolutely straight face.]

At least you're among friends here. Most of us are trying to make it on our own; it's a lot worse on your own.

You keep assuming that I know anything beyond what you were told in Traverse Town. I'm sorry to break it to you, but that's not really the case.

[Which is totally the truth. Mostly. The main question, what exactly had caused the sudden influx of darkness, was one he had no answer to.]

[He doesn't like that tone you have while using his communicator and who's he talking to. Wait, he knows her... she's a new comer. Riku... you're being rude to new comers?! What is this?!]

Stop using my communicator to be a jerk to the new comers. They have it hard enough already!

[Okay, he's shutting that communicator off for now, because this is not a discussion he's having for everybody to listen into.

Besides, he's not being rude; he's being ~~brutally~~ honest. Mostly.]

I just saw you. Are you like that with all of them?

[Sigh. Riku knows that face and he really won't get out of this one without explaining, huh?]

I'm being careful. [Unlike you, he can't say he has a good experiences with trusting random strangers after all.] Besides, she asked what caused this and fact is, we don't know that yet.

[No, you really wont.]

Careful... [Riku's trust issues were still a little new to him. There were a lot of things about Riku lately that were new and it worried him sometimes. He didn't think Riku could ever be like his old self again and some of that was good, but was he happy? It had to be really hard for him living everyday with regrets. This worried Sora to no end.]

Then be careful... but they aren't our enemies. Some of them are actually really nice! It's best to just tell them you don't know and try to help anyway you can. They've lost everything, Riku. They're just looking for something to hold onto...

[He says with a slightly sad smile.]

[If Sora ever were to tell him that, Riku'd scowl and tell him to stop worrying, because really, there is nothing to worry about.

(Except that there is maybe sometimes whenever he is spending a little too much time thinking about the mistakes he made, when he swears to do whatever is necessary to keep Sora and Kairi save and happy, regardless of what consequences that might have for him?)

But really there are far better things for Sora to worry about, than whether Riku's happy or not ~~like perhaps, about whenever he's finally getting his wits together and ask out Kairi. Just a thought. >.>~~]

Sora... [Riku shakes his head; Sora doesn't get it at all... and while Riku is glad about that to a certain degree, he still feels tempted to groan.] Nice or not, I'm not about to give away our home after a two minutes screen conversation.

...The Islands are safe right now. I just want them to stay that way.

[And the way he sees it, pointing them out to a bunch of random strangers is just not contributing to that goal.]
