[In order to survive in the time he'd found himself in, Magus had shut out the world and locked his heart away. The less he felt, the less he cared... the better. It wasn't something he regretted, it was just... necessary.

No one can take away friends and loved ones if you don't have them. No one can rip your heart apart if you keep it hidden. It's a hard lesson for a child to learn, and a harder one for a man to forget.

Which is why he's presently in the darkness of the alley behind the hotel, leaning against a wall in the shadows, and scowling at nothing. Lavos is dead, Schala is here. That's all that's been going through his head, like a song that's been playing over and over, since she arrived.

For all his tumultuous anger, for all of his hate... he is at peace for once. And he's trying to process the feeling, to understand it. He hasn't been at peace since before his father died, since before his mother was changed by the power of Lavos, and he really doesn't remember the feeling.

It's confusing and a bit annoying, although he doesn't blame Schala for it. He would much prefer this to having her still lost to him.]

[He's out there, just thinking, for a while before he actually takes out the communicator and flips it on.]

As one who has not traveled to many of the worlds here, what is something you find the most irritating about a particular world? [After all, he doesn't expect to remain in Traverse Town forever.]

[ Terra is still not quite certain what she should do. It was almost the end of the month, and she would be kicked out of her home if what she was told is true. Plus she didn't have a job yet. Plus Locke was gone. She wouldn't admit it, but being alone frightened her. She's strolling through Traverse Town, a bit lost in thought herself - but as luck would have it, one of her potion bottles slips out of her pouch and bounces onto the ground, rolling over to bump into Magus' foot. ]

[He paid the woman little attention when she crossed his line of sight. The green hair caught his eye. It wasn't very common in his world (and he made it less common by turning one green-haired boy into a frog-man).

He hears the bottle hit and his eyes follow it to his foot. He leans down and picks it up.]

You are a witch? [There's no accusation in his voice. He is a magus, after all.]

[He notices the shift in color. His own eyes had been green once. They're been red for years now, however, and he doubts they'll ever change back. He doesn't truly care either way.]

The bottle was a decent hint. There are not many I have seen who carry potion bottles who are not magically inclined. Of course, your eyes were another hint just now. [There's a slight smirk.] As was your wording.

They all have good and bad points, but that's not really something to say it's irritating though.

It can be, yes. There are places with Heartless if you are able to fight them. [His first impulse is not a school. While educated in the areas he determined he needed, he never went to a school. Tutors and self-teaching.]
