[Ed actually looks content at the moment as he's enjoying a nice meal at a small restaurant in town. He takes a bite of the steak and relaxes a little.

Halfway through his meal, he begins to look a little sad again.]

Not much happens here...and no one's seen my brother right?

[He looks down.]

Well...what do I do now?

I've never just screamed. Seems weird...

Try to take your mind off it, just for now. Dwelling won't help you to be ready once he does arrive.

How about the library? They should have subjects you'd be interested in.

[Ed perks up.] Where's that?

There's the public library, and the school library.

[Ed hums a little, as though thinking it over.] Where's the public library?

I can give you directions, or I can show you if you'd like.

You can show me? [Ed seems interested in this as well, he hasn't really met anyone hanging around.]

Why don't we meet somewhere, and I can take you there from our meeting-place.

Okay! Where do you want to meet?

You're in Traverse Town, aren't you? How about the clock tower?

Yes, alright, I'll go over there in a few minutes.

I'll meet you there. I should go outside for awhile anyway.

[Ed leans against the clocktower, bouncing a little, excited for the library.]

[Ami, early as always, has a smile for Ed.]

Shall we go? I'd like to find a few new books to read myself.

[Ed looks up at her and nods.]

Well this place isn't terribly interesting really, so some books would be great.

[She starts walking, slow enough to keep pace easily, and after a few moments, a thought seems to occur to her.]

Could you tell me if you enjoy astronomy?

If he is not here, he is still trapped in the darkness. If you expect to save him, you will have to become strong enough to do so.

I know how long it took me to become strong enough to fight the darkness that threatened my sister.

[He looks away from the camera, his head tipping back some.] Nearly twenty years.

I...haven't trained that long. [Ed will concede that at least.]

How old were you when you started?

Depends on what you mean. I started my alchemy training when I was four and we learned hand to hand when I was eight.

Hm. Then you are a good part of the way there.
