1st Post. Video

[The video shows a young man singing and dancing. . The music in the background is pretty lively. He's actually rather freaked out about not being in full control of his movements and about being in a completely unfamiliar area. There's a hint of the fear and confusion on his face. Whatever compelled him to dance, also caused him to record the video. He doesn't really know how the communicator works. ]

That dancing made me hungry. Oh, I can say things now without...crap!

[ The dance starts again.&]

[ ooc: If anyone else wants to join him in the dance, then go ahead. I guess that would be an action post.]

[this is, by far, the most interesting dance she's seen yet. it's a little too complicated for her, but she'll sit in her room and watch it, and clap along to the music for encouragement]

I haven't seen you around before, are you new?

Where's that voice coming from?

[ Once he stops dancing, he looks around. He doesn't seem to notice the communicator.]

[waves, like that'll make a difference]

over here! Look to the communicator, the thing the moogle gave you?

[ Continues to look around. The communicator was placed in an odd position to get the best video.]

The what and what? Wait, there was a rabbit thing with a floating pomegranate over its head that gave me all this weird stuff.

[ He's looking at the hotel key as if the voice might come from there. ]

[giggles, she remembers how awkward everything was for her too, when she first arrived. she makes a mental note to find him, and help him get around town so it won't be as scary, hopefully]

Not that, over here

[ It is possible to see the surrounding area. Joluk tries to get a better listen for the voice. He looks for one of the other things the furry creature gave him.]

Is this it?

[ He got it, though its upside down. He looks a bit confused at the girl in the thing. She sort of reminds him of that weird foreign guy.]

Uh...hi?

[ He pokes the screen.]

[pfft, well he picked it up, so that's a start?]

[here, have a friendly 'welcome to the neighborhood' smile]

Hello! You're new here, aren't you?

[ The poking seems to have no effect. Well, the girl behind the screen seems amused at least.]

That's one way of putting it, wherever here is...if this didn't come from some blow to the head, or some hallucination from being in the sun too long, though it's kinda dark here...and this is kinda freaking me out!

[laughs, kindly]

It's a little over-whelming at first, but don't worry, you get used to it.

Did the moogles tell you anything or [pauses, was about to say or did you run away but that sounds unnecessarily cruel] or not, I know they've been kind of busy and haven't been able to give a run down to everyone.

I'll get used to it?

Uh...they handed me the stuff, then started singing about it being "bad luck to be" me. Then, they floated away or ran or something.

[ Manages to look more sheepish than panicked.]

I probably shouldnt've tried to grab the floating red things. How was I supposed to know that they weren't fruit?

I see [she's slightly somber, this is the first time she's had to deliver news like this]

I'm afraid your world was lost, to the darkness. This place, Traverse Town, is where all the survivors end up.

[the, quickly, as if she's afraid of your reaction]

It's not as bad as it sounds! King Mickey and the others are working to reverse the effects of the darkness, the lost worlds can be saved. and it's possible that other survivors from your home haven't made it here yet.

[is quiet, giving you time to absorb this]

[ This is beyond him. Suddenly learning that all he's ever known and loved is lost to him is a lot to take in.]

Wait...I don't...darkness? The whole world?

At least now, I don't have to worry about the Russians invading.

[ His attempt at making light of the situation, doesn't work. It only reminds him that his brother isn't there to lineface at him.]

Have you seen anyone that could have a...um family resemblance?
[ His voice is shaking when he asks this.]

[has no idea what a russian is, and so she's just going to stare at you a little]

[small, sympathetic smile]

Not yet, I'm afraid, but everyone seems to be trickling through at different times. Just because they're not here yet, doesn't mean that they won't show up in a little while.

[ He's silent for a while.]

So,now what?

[sighs] now, we wait.

But, there's lots to do in the mean-time. There's a ton of worlds out there, willing to open their doors to the people who have lost their homes, and there's a resistance, fighting against the darkness.

[holds up her response to the questionnaire King Mickey posted (http://star-kingdom.livejournal.com/13680.html)] King Mickey is helping organize people to different worlds, where they can be useful until he and the others can get our homes restored. You should fill it out, it might be a good distraction.

Yeah,I could probably use a distraction.

[ hey, she has been really patient with him.]

Hey, do you know where I can get something to eat?

[ He doesn't know where the hotel is.]

Sure thing! You're still in the First District right? There's a nice little cafe, [stares at your background, trying to judge your location] actually if you turn around it'll be right around the corner.

[holds up a handful of the munny] this is what you use to pay for the food, make sure you keep it with you, okay?

If you need anything else, just let me know. My name is Rapunzel.

I guess.

[He looks around. He manages to find the place. Food will help him deal with all this horror.
