Where is Master Endymion? He struggles to a sitting position, despite the protests of moogles who think he's not ready to move yet. He has to. He raises his hands, as if playing a piano- and indeed, music starts to fill the air, perfect and clear, captured by the communicator as well. It is searching, seeking, desperate.

But after only a moment, he stops. His hands slump and then fall beside him. His eyes find the ground and his shoulders sag in defeat.]

[The creature does slow… and even begins to fade back up into the stars since the person controlling him had disappeared. This was after all only a distraction technique designed to slow Zoisite up long enough for Nephrite to teleport himself away. If the other shitennou had actually been killed? All the better really, but Nephrite hadn’t been expecting it to do any more than what it did. ]

[Zoisite's face contorts in frustration. To have Nephrite go away before they could even say more. He'd been so close-!

No. No, if he is honest with himself, Nephrite simply ran as others have run from the past before him.

And as he calms his seething mind, he realizes there is one thing he is deeply grateful for: it suddenly becomes obvious the youma was a distraction. Nephrite had not gone so far as to be willing to attack him outright over this argument.
