[The communicator switches on to show Fai, quietly stroking what appeared to be one of those stray dog like creatures that had been wondering about. He smiled slightly as he did as the creature appeared to be enjoying the strokes.]

Your a odd little guy aren't you?

[His smile had gone back to being false, he had been way to use to doing it and with some disappearances lately, he couldn't really smile a true smile just yet. Laughing slightly, he remembered that he shouldn't fake his actions, he learn that from a good friend, one that wasn't with him right now.]

I shouldn't be looking into the past, right? I should be looking at the present.

[He glanced at the creature again as it licked his hand before playing nipping at it.]

Why don't I give you a name? You don't appear to have a collar, so I don't know if you have one already.

[He scratched the pet before the ears before smiling once more.]

I know, I'll call you Kurogane. You know exactly what to do to snap me out of it after all.

[He laughs, he really needed someone to do that, and it appeared that this creature had come at just the right time. Thinking for a moment an idea was soon in his head.]

Maybe I should...

[Soon he stood up, Kurogane the pokemon looking at him before running off ahead as Fai had started to walk in the direction, his mind now thinking of ideas. He just hoped that this idea will be a nice reminder for people who once knew the girl. With communicator in hand he switched it to voice, it was a good idea to let the staff know about a small change to the menu.]

To the staff of the Cat's Eye, there will be as of next week a change to the menu. I hope that is okay?

[ What static is available at the time of the feed's start quickly recedes as a gloved hand tips the communicator just so, prompting the image to come into focus with nothing short of crystal clarity. Its owner is stationed at the forefront of said image, dark eyes catching the candlelight behind the device as she looks the camera, or rather beyond it and into her audience's eyes. If the background suggests she is seated at one of the many tables in front of the Item Shop in the First District of Traverse Town, that's because she is. Sshe's not nearly as relaxed as her uniform might suggest what with her jacket open and the complete and utter absence of a tie on her person, but she masks it well enough... until she opens her mouth. It may be difficult to hear, but there's an undertone of urgency about her otherwise level voice that offsets her composure as she charges clean past any pleasantries into far more pressing matters. ]

This is Valeria of the Turks requesting an immediate response from any and all Shin-Ra personnel who observe this transmission. That goes doubly for any Turks out there. [ She pauses briefly. ] Zack, Cloud: you, too, if you're here. [ And she pauses again, albeit very briefly, her brows furrowing as her expression softens slightly. ]

On second thought, I'd appreciate a response from anyone from Gaia. Affiliation doesn't matter. In this situation...

[ She needs to stick to the general plan she had laid out, that's what she needs to do in this situation. She hadn't regained her composure to lose it to sad, disconcerting thoughts and frankly, she can't afford to. Lifting a gloved hand, she tucks a few stray strands of black behind her ear and presses on, gaze sharpening with quiet, defiant determination. ]

I'm also looking for information. The moogle's explanation left me with more questions than answers and that... it won't do. I'd appreciate any help anyone is willing to offer toward answering them. I don't have much to offer besides my gratitude, but if compensation is an issue, it's an issue I'd be willing to discuss if the information checks out and is good. [ She offers her audience a smile, something small, but not without wholly without warmth as she inclines her head slightly forward in a nod. ] Thank you for watching.

[ And with that, she taps a button on the communicator and ends the feed, her smile falling and fast as she allows her back to meet that of the chair with a soft thud. She's aware she could go ahead and make her way to the hotel the moogle mentioned, but she'd just as soon wait where she's seated for any response. There is some traffic in the First District, after all, and the presence of others is a small comfort she's unwilling to give up for a walk with uncertainty down a lonely street. That it's an ideal location for any meetings has also occurred to her, so she bides her time, eyes wandering and gloved fingers drumming idly atop the table. ]

You guys had better be safe. [ She murmurs, turning her eyes up to the star-filled night sky in the distance. It seems less beautiful than she remembers in the aftermath of her world's destruction. ]

[The video feed starts to reveal a somewhat doubtful looking Sailor Star Maker with a rather content looking Moogle beside her. She gives the small white critter a sideways glance before speaking.]

Can anyone hear me?

[Pause. Another glance towards the Moogle who instructs her to keep talking kupo. She turns back to the communicator.]

I was told that I might be able to contact people I know through this device. Is there anyone listening who can help me?

[The Moogle looks pleased as punch to have helped; Star Maker continues to look dubious of the creature.]

[Fai switches the feed on to show him quietly painting a board, a smile lightly placed upon his face.]

I think that just about does it.

[He holds the paintbrush up, happy with his finished sign. He puts the paint brush down to the side as he picked up the board, making sure to place it in a place where it could fit and people could see it.]

There, finished sooner than I expected.

[Clapping his hands together he looked at the newly furnished building with the sign neatly next to it. He stands there for a moment before picking up the communicator, that smile still on his face.]

Since I finished sooner than expected, I will now be hiring chefs, waiters or waitresses and an assistant manager.

[He pauses for a moment before placing a finger up to his lips.]

So, if you are interested please fill out this form:

[With this he switched the feed off, as soon a form was shown.]

Thank you for filling this out.

[He comes to himself still on the ground. The white uniform will need to be cleaned, he notes in passing. The small creatures nudging him bear no resemblence to youma; this place bears no resemblence to the Dark Kingdom. Where is he?

Where is Master Endymion? He struggles to a sitting position, despite the protests of moogles who think he's not ready to move yet. He has to. He raises his hands, as if playing a piano- and indeed, music starts to fill the air, perfect and clear, captured by the communicator as well. It is searching, seeking, desperate.

But after only a moment, he stops. His hands slump and then fall beside him. His eyes find the ground and his shoulders sag in defeat.]

My music cannot reach the master from here.

[Ring, ring! Leroy Starkiller, someone would like to speak with you. This someone needs an impartial third party, and, well, a man's opinion. You're the lucky guy who gets to be both.]

[Fai switches the feed on showing a Sold sign in front of a building, if anyone knew Radiant Garden would recognise where he was. It was another moment before he turned it around to show that cheery self.]

I finally have raised enough money to be able to afford a cafe.

[He seems happy with himself as he turned it again to show the sign, which has a cat on it, or more so a cat face on it.]

It will be called 'The Cat's Eye' and hopefully will be a very useful place for the future.

[He turns the communicator back around as he smiles once more.]

I will be hiring for anyone who wants to work in a cafe as a waiter, chef, head chef or assistant manager. So if you are interested in applying please let me know and give me experience and qualifications.

[With that he switches off.]

[ Prepare for some tl;dr by your local over-dramatic genome. He has some words of wisdom for everyone. So sit down, you're in for an earful on your device today. ]

With each passing minute that we sit and twiddle our thumbs, he crushes each world with a titan grip and leaves in his path nothing more than crumbs. Such trembling amount of power, it is quite magnificent if you really think about it. What was once a live and thriving something transformed into a shrivel of nothing within a blink of an eye, perhaps the work of fate's true design. But what measures have we taken as the crumbs of every world to restore what we once called ours?

You are not refugees but prisoners freely scattered about the planes of this small universe. Ripped from your world and trapped into a cage where you'll spend the rest of your days beating your wings but never with a song to sing. Have you noticed that, my dear and delusional comrades?

Whether you wish to believe it or not, this is now our home. Or do you believe that one day you will see your world again? If so, have you taken measures to do just that, or does your focus lie purely on maintaining the safety and stability of the world you now reside. Do you see where I am going with this?

You are already home.

[It is a beautiful, clear evening in Radiant Garden. The silhouette of Hallow Bastion contrasts again the oranges of the sun and the darkening blue skies. Soon, twilight is upon the world, and beautiful stars twinkle in the cloudless sky. And, dashing across this sky, is a rainbow-tailed shooting star.

Which suddenly becomes larger and larger as the world's gravity grabs it. No, not just a shooting star. A meteor. But a meteor entirely unlike most normal meteors found in these worlds. It's too colorful, too fast. Too heavy. And it's about to hit--

Anyone in Radiant Garden may have seen the meteor, and the dust and flames that resulted from the crash. Most certainly, they would have felt the earth beneath them shake as the meteor impacted...a house...

. . .

And not long at all following that impact, Leon is on the network, looking very, very, very cross.]

I'm not even going to ask who's hammer this is or why it'd lodged in. my. bed, but I will pay anyone who can lift it just to get it out of here.

[He pauses, turning around and giving the viewers a good look at the gaping hole in his roof and the hammer that's effectively destroyed his bed and half of his room by impact.]

It won't budge, no matter what I do, and I'd like my room back.

(ooc: Well, look at that! Mjolnir's found its way to Star Kingdom and has subsequently trashed Leon's room! Anyone's welcome to try and lift it, but only one who is ~worthy~ will be able to. Your character's worthiness will be judged by Ni, who also co-wrote this post! 8D)

[Based on the room behind him, Kunzite has found his way to the hotel and his room.]

So Metalia is called 'Heartless' here, hm? [He scoffs.] An appropriate term for such a creature. Although I find it hard to believe that she has managed to take so many worlds into darkness.

If she has, then she is more formidable than I gave her credit for. [Not that it matters how powerful she is. She was ended once; she can be ended again.]

[Today, as usual, Mizuno Ami is surrounded by alarmingly tall piles of books, settled into a more or less comfortable chair in a library. She clicks on the video feed and takes a moment to compose herself before recording her thoughts. She clears her throat lightly before speaking.]

I'd like to discuss certain aspects of the worlds represented in this place.

I've found constellations I recognize from the night sky in my home. However, the stars nearby are unfamiliar. I'd like to know whether some of them may have existed in the home worlds of others here. And, I'd like to know if anything else from your home worlds has appeared here.

Second to that, I'd like to discuss the gummi ships.

[Here, her voice becomes a little less certain and once or twice, she glances off-screen without quite meaning to. This is... hard to put scientifically.] I'd like to discuss theories about their workings.

It seems incredible that something could run on 'happy thoughts'; however, if those emotions produced certain specific brainwave patterns, those could potentially be stored as energy to power the ships. It would be very cost-efficient of course; and beneficial with the reduction in fuel consumption.

[She's already distracting herself with more thoughts. She'll need to be interrupted before she stops rambling; she seems to have forgotten people are probably listening and watching.]

That must be why it was developed as an energy source. But the term 'heartless' has certain connotations of negative feelings. Could the same positive patterns that drive the gummi ships help in defeating the heartless?

I don't suppose the proper equipment to monitor that could be accessible here.

[For those who don't know, Agrabah is a very hot place. Makoto doesn't really mind it, but it can get a little exhausting. When the feed starts she's fanning herself in some much-needed shade.]

Hey everyone! Are you all holding up okay? I heard we got a lot of new arrivals recently, so I thought I'd say hi. And, if anyone needs anything, feel free to ask.

My friends and I look after Agrabah. It gets pretty hot, but if you can stand the sun and the sand, it's not so bad. If anyone wants to visit, let me know! I'm always happy to have a house guest.

My name's Kino Makoto. You can all call me Mako, though. Don't be a stranger!

[Because that means she'll have a reason to clean instead of doing homework, and that she can cook instead of study. It's the perfect plan.]

[Filtered to the senshi!]

So since most of us are here, do you guys want to do anything? There are a lot of worlds we haven't seen yet, and it might be a good idea to familiarize ourselves with our surroundings. Plus, it'd be great to get away from this heat.

[Much begging goes here! Can they go somewhere? Please, please, please?]
[identity profile] abracadabrapon.livejournal.com
[Here's Setsuna, looking quite business-like.]

I am about to...conduct some important research. Independent of monitoring projects.

I wouldn't mind some assistance in it, particularly that of yours, Usagi. If that is all right with you.

[ Terra is getting a lot of use out of this communicator lately! She's hurrying through town, so the feed is probably shaking quite a bit. ]

Locke? Where are you?

[ If she sounds anxious, she is. He said he wouldn't leave her alone. He would tell her if he had gone somewhere without her. Surely something hadn't happened to him. She stops running after a few minutes, glancing around before her attention goes to the feed. ]

... e-excuse me, I - has anyone seen a friend of mine... Locke Cole? He's about this tall, with silver hair and brown eyes - he's a th- a treasure hunter. He was last seen in Traverse Town just a few days ago.
I've been all over town and there's no sign of him, and the people I've asked haven't seen him either.

[ She doesn't quite believe he's gone yet. He may have just forgotten since she hasn't been in this world for a long while. Which is why she was on her way to the port to get on one of those gummi ships. She'd been looking for Locke to tell him she was going to visit another world anyway. After a few minutes searching, she spots a moogle. ]

Excuse me, which way to the gummi ships...?

Right this way, kupo - and remember to smile! A gummi ship won't fly with you looking so worried.

Um... right.

[ She turns off the communicator. ]

Dad! Dad are you there? This is another trick, right? This is the bad guys' doing! Our world can't be destroyed! You're still there aren't you, dad?

[Oh, hello. The feed seems to be wedged back somewhere on the control panel of a gummi ship and it's shaking wildly. But look, there's Starkiller and Obi-Wan in the pilot seats and Obi-Wan is trying so hard to sound serene but--... holy mother of the Force, the ship is crashing!] --don't care if you have to think of baby rancors, please try to smile?

Baby Rancors? [Starkiller still finds it hard to believe this ship runs on smiles and happy thoughts, it just doesn't seem possible. He could keep the ship from crashing.]

[Obi-Wan glances over at him shortly.] --I don't know! [It was the first thing to come to mind!] Ler--

Don't. Start. [Leroy again? He'll never live that given name down.]

[Obi-Wan grins in spite of himself; he really has grown fond of that name.] Starkiller, we are going to crash if you don't think of something happy. And fast!

[Starkiller rolls his eyes and crosses his arms, doesn't look like he's going to smile anytime soon.] Relax, Jedi. I won't let this thing crash.

Oh, for the love of--... We're plummeting at an alarming speed towards a planet we didn't mean to land on and you're telling me to relax when you could have prevented this in the first place. ...Wonderful! [Obi-Wan is struggling with the controls, trying to get the ship to stabilize somehow.]

And I told you I wouldn't let this heap crash. [Starkiller's very sure of that. Perhaps too sure sometimes. That brought about a semblance of a smile.]

[The ship's power blips up a tiny bit from that sort-of smile, but not much. Vrooooom, they're flying into a very sunny looking world! Obi-Wan goes quiet, just hoping Starkiller knows what he's doing. He stays calm, but he's oh so very tense; his voice reflects that, as well.] Whatever you have up your sleeve, I suggest you start doing it now, please.

[Instead of a verbal answer, the clone reaches out with the Force, attempting to still the ship. This was no different than a TIE fighter. He was met with a lot of resistance, but even a ship that ran on smiles was no match for him. It comes to a sliding stop in the middle of the desert.] Ships don't need to run on smiles, Jedi. [Smirk.]

[Obi-Wan is just... staring at Starkiller. Did he really just stop them from crashing with the Force? His mind, it is utterly blown. ...Aaaand then he's suddenly grinning again.] You could bring a whole blasted ship down on my head whenever I call you Leroy and you haven't yet.

Would you like me to? [No one should have this much power at their fingertips, yet here he was not even thinking anything of it.] Any idea where we are?

...No, that's quite alright. [But the smile doesn't disappear.] Judging by the desert, I would venture to say Agrabah-- oh. [Obi-Wan notices his communication device blinking.] It must have turned on in all the chaos. [He's gonna reach over to turn it off now. Click!]

(ooc notes: Color-coding is Leroy Starkiller & Obi-Wan!)

-- and then... Ah! There. Not too difficult, is it? ( the image comes into view to reveal... a well dressed woman with long, wavy teal hair. with one hand holding the device, the other creeps upwards to tuck some of it behind her ear ) This place.. is called Traverse Town, is that true? The friendly creature informed me as much, but the explanation of how I arrived here exactly... leaves a little something to be desired, I'm afraid.

( and her head tilts to the side with a tight smile ) I find it difficult to believe that it was simple the force of darkness, but then... the sheer force of it seemed so overwhelming as I was dragged under... It was certainly not a pleasant experience.

Even more disturbing is how they say that the world... has been destroyed? That can't be true, can it? I just know that there were forces protecting it, our Earth. It's... difficult to believe that everything was just taken away so easily. Please, if anyone has any infromation, it would be appreciated. Perhaps then I will be able to locate some of the others...

[The moogles have left all of the sailor soldiers a gift on their beds! No, not that kind of gift, eww. It's a small red box, and inside that red box? Well, it might look familiar to the girls. There's also a note.

"To travel easier.

There is an exception to this rule. Ami has a few extra items. And a little card.
