[This is the first transmission Naru's made since she abruptly left Traverse Town without telling any of the others she was going. It's been a couple of days, so even though she doesn't want to give away where her and Nephrite might be... she does want to let people know she's alright]

Hey everyone. It's Naru here.

I'm sorry i left so suddenly but everything is alright. You don't need to worry or anything.

[The message pauses as she tries to think of what else to say]

Don;t try to find me or anything. I'm sure we can meet again sometime. Until then, at least we have the communicators. Usagi, at least try to give the school a shot, alright? [i thought I'd be going with you...now I'm not so sure] And Ami, thanks again for everything you've done. You stay out of trouble too!

[Debates leaving messages for Usagi's other friends, but she hadn't really had the chance to speak to them much beforehand. Perhaps, given that Nephrite and her were in hiding, it was for the best that she hadn't. Though she still held some regrets about it]

[She hesitates a bit. If this is a trap.. it will still be a problem for Nephrite. If it's legitimate... she can help him. The music box looks so harmless]

[Her eyes widen in surprise.]

That really worked!?

[Though she knew the shitennou had powers like this.. it was still awe-inspiring to witness and be a part of it]

[Such open admiration can't fail to be at least a little endearing, and Zoisite nods.]

We were given these powers to protect our planet.

To protect the planet? Then how come .. well.. [How to ask this delicately. How come wnenever one of the shittenou appeared in her world they caused such trouble? She decides not to ask it. Seems like he's mentioned something about the good prince and the evil queen in an earlier discussion]

Nevermind. It's not important.

So.. do we wait for those heartless things here?

Yes. They will come. [He says this with a certainty not only of their habits, but of sensing their presence, not too far now.]

You are ready? When you see them, when they come close, you will open the lid of that orgel.

[Even though she knew the heartless were imperative to this test she still felt a sense of trepidation. For the sake of those closest to her she tried to be strong. She surveyed the nearby area, not catching sight of anything yet she turned back to Zoisite and nodded.]

Mm.

I'm ready as I'll ever be.

[He makes no move to seem ready to protect her; but he knows perfectly well that Nephrite would retaliate for a slight against this girl, much less allowing her to be harmed. He is prepared - he simply has confidence in his power he has given to her.]

They come.

[They can be seen, just a few of them, thankfully, Heartless heading straight towards what they hope will be easy prey. Open it, Naru.]

[Zoisite didn't say much, nor did he really have to. Those gooey black blobs were quite familiar to her. Naru couldn't remember how she'd evaded them the first time but now.. she had to trust in this orgel thingy.]

There just as terrible as I remember..

[She instinctively backed up.. but stopped herself. Closing her eyes tightly, she opened the box and hoped upon hope that this would remove the things]

[The music sounds quite pleasant, likely, to human ears; light and melodious. But the Heartless seem to detest it. They make ineffective gestures and swipe towards the direction of Zoisite and Naru, but they come no closer - and many flee.]

[She carefully opens one eye first, then the other catching glimpses of the heartless fleeing]

They really can't stand this thing, can they?

[She might sound more than a little surprised.. then she sheepishly tries to backtrack]

Not that I doubted your powers or anything.

This music is painful to them. [That much is obvious, and he doesn't say the reason, what he's woven into it, the memories that could break them in two.] They will come no closer than that to you, whenever you play it.

[She still can't get over the fact that he's giving her this powerful tool. She looks thoughtfully at it, before feeling a little guilty and looking back at Zoisite]

I'm sorry.. I.. haven't been all that nice to you. [Suspecting you of plotting against her and all. Then she holds out the box.]

Shouldn't you hold onto this? You need to protect yourself from the heartless too.

[This seemed too important to just give it away to somebody else]

[If Nephrite's attachment still confuses him, he's at least beginning to understand why this girl is close to the princess.]

I have other powers at my disposal. They will not bother me. [You need it far more, human girl.]

If you're sure and all that. [She pulled the box closer towards herself.]

I am certain. It is a gift to Nephrite. [In the sense that protecting Naru is; not the box itself, which Nephrite also wouldn't need.]

[He does not seem to treat this as a problem, or even a question.]
