002 ♛ Video/Action (Destiny Islands)

[Yuuki is sitting up over the beach on the island, and though it's not an overcast day she's hiding beneath a lot of foliage. The sunlight on the islands is bright and refreshing, but it's not really something that her vampire-self can handle. Much as it pains her, she has to keep out of the sun as much as possible.

So when the video turns on, she focuses the feed out onto the sparkling water. She sounds tired - the sunlight and, well, being up during the daytime is difficult for her - but she still loves seeing a sight like this.]

Hello, everyone. It's Yuuki. [She leans into the footage for a moment with a smile that looks far less tired than she sounds.] I've been here for a couple of weeks now, I guess... It's really hard to believe that our homes aren't coming back anytime soon. You really miss some strange things when you're so far from home, don't you?

Does anyone know how to get our homes back? If it involves fighting, I can do that. I might not look like much, but I can do it! There are some people back home that I'd like to fight for. I'm sure there are others who feel the same way, so I thought that one of you might have organized something by now.

In the meantime, this place is really pretty, isn't it? Are there other places like this? Maybe without so much sunlight... I'd like to go somewhere with someone, but the sunlight is a little draining. I guess you could say we don't get out much.

Oniisama, please don't worry. I'm all right and I'll be back soon. I thought it might be nice to make some friends again, but these people probably just think I'm strange. It's all right, though. I'll come home soon.

[But she doesn't really want him to catch wind of how exhausted she's let herself become by forcing herself to stay under the sun for a little bit each day, so she leaves it at that. Really, she could use a large bed to collapse in, and some fresh blood, but she knows she should wait. She at least wants to see the sunset.]

I think fighting the Heartless is necessary, but futile. The one we need to defeat is whoever is causing them and this Darkness to spread.

[Sokka is passing through, and while he doesn't realize it yet, he's about to bump into Yuuki... or, well, one of the trees she's shaded beneath, at least. He's following some map, which means he can't see where he's going, which means he walks face-first into a rather large sapling and a second later, he's blinking up at a strange darkness.]

[Uh oh. Another blink.] I've blinded myself! [And a flail. He hadn't his his head that hard, right? Actually, no, he hadn't -- the map is just draped over his face blocking out most of the light the world has to offer.] Oh spirits, I'm blind! [Haha, yeah, keep it up, buddy.]

[Kaname is mixed on this independent streak of hers. On the one hand, Yuuki played right into his hands and went to Destiny Islands where he wanted her to go. Destiny island is said to be the safest location to be. On the other hand... he wondered how far this independent streak might extend. He certainly doesn't want her gallivanting off to other worlds as if she were just going down the street to a local market.. it could be dangerous. At least, in this case it worked out. Now he could continue to investigate the other worlds in the area without having to make some sort of excuse to leave the residence in Traverse Town..]

What strange things do you find yourself missing Yuuki?

[He did want to make her stay here as pleasant as possible. If any of those things could be found here, perhaps he could bring them back on his trip- he had a bad feeling that one of those "strange things" was Zero though...]

I understand, Yuuki. I hope that you are not pushing yourself too hard.

[As much as he would love to keep her in a gilded cage.. he understood her need for companionship. Their goals seemed a little different.... he didn't seem as eager to find a way back home. Not like before she arrived.]

I'm fine! I got to walk on the beach and collect seashells. And the ocean here is really pretty. Even though I know you don't like the sunlight, we should come here sometime at night. Even the moon on the water is great, and the ocean looks so dark then.

[He'd been unable to resist the invitation to ask, even if the answer was wholly unnecessary. The two had grown up together, and shared their own unique sort of relationship. He couldn't fault her for missing him even if the feelings weren't mutual. How had Zero reacted when Yuuki had been exposed as a vampire? The thing he hated the most combined with the person he....

[Yuuki seems to be blossoming in these new worlds, free from the established society back home that wouldn't allow them this much freedom if they were still within it's confines.]

There are a few with environments more.. forgiving for people like us. [filtered or not, Kaname still avoided openly using the term vampire] .. however I have my doubts about some of them.
