[ Two minutes in and Yuuko had already managed to spot somewhere to get booze. So this is one slightly buzzed dimensional witch lounging in one of Traverse Town's bistros. She raises her glass, seemingly admiring the amber liquid against the light. It was no junmai daiginjo, but it would do. ]

The destruction of multiple worlds.

[ A pause as she takes a sip from her glass. ]

Darkness so overwhelming it can snuff out the sun. Suffocate the life force from an entire reality. Not a common circumstance but possible.

[ Another sip. Pretty good. Had a nice burn. ]

But where exactly did this darkness come from?

[ She drains the glass unceremoniously and turns back to the camera. ]

Well, no sense in being shy. Introduce yourselves. After all...

[ And there is a knowing smile as she says this. ]

It was inevitable that we would meet each other here under these circumstances.

I feel bad for the moogles, they've been nothing but kind to everyone and not everyone has reciprocated. It can't be easy, trying to take care of so many lost people.

[blinks, absorbing Yuuko's statement]

Then...if you're from between worlds...does that mean you're here by choice? [trying to compute, failing a little bit]

The moogles have a strong sense of... public service, so to speak. In this world and indeed, in the other worlds they inhabit they serve as messengers, mail carriers, shop keepers... I can only imagine this comes with a great deal of patience for them, dealing with a multitude of personalities, some welcoming, others not so welcoming.

[ A pause as she takes a sip from her glass. ]

Not necessarily by choice. I was summoned here and it seems they've managed to prevent me from traveling to worlds other than the ones here.

[ A moment of silence as she thinks. Ah well. Saves travel expenses on Gummi ships! ]

Provided they pay an equal amount, of course. Equivalent exchange for service is the way of the world to keep balance.

Perhaps. But usually they come to my shop. House calls aren't all that common for me.

[ One glass drained. She moves to lounge in her chair a little. Damn. Better get a couch for her room. ]

But my services have their use. Everyone has a wish, after all... a dream of theirs which they'd be willing to pay absolutely anything for.

[since she's not in that dire of a situation, she's trying to imagine what she'd wish for...and what she'd be willing to pay for it...]

Even petty wishes, as long as one is willing to pay the appropriate amount for it. Balance must be kept, after all. No one receives anything for free.

[ She glances at the girl a moment, the tiniest smile on her face. ]

It's not necessarily being helpful. Merely inevitability. If it was inevitable for one to have their wish granted then it would be inevitable for me to meet that person.

[ The smile curves into a smirk as she swirls her glass. ]

You've seen it before. Things that were supposed to happen, people you were supposed to meet. Those who have changed their lives and walked away having left an impression so deep it would be hard to forget.
