one ☽ best first impression ever [ video/action]
[ Two minutes in and Yuuko had already managed to spot somewhere to get booze. So this is one slightly buzzed dimensional witch lounging in one of Traverse Town's bistros. She raises her glass, seemingly admiring the amber liquid against the light. It was no junmai daiginjo, but it would do. ]
The destruction of multiple worlds.
[ A pause as she takes a sip from her glass. ]
Darkness so overwhelming it can snuff out the sun. Suffocate the life force from an entire reality. Not a common circumstance but possible.
[ Another sip. Pretty good. Had a nice burn. ]
But where exactly did this darkness come from?
[ She drains the glass unceremoniously and turns back to the camera. ]
Well, no sense in being shy. Introduce yourselves. After all...
[ And there is a knowing smile as she says this. ]
It was inevitable that we would meet each other here under these circumstances.
I am Yuuko Ichihara.
[[ ooc: weeeell... feel free to approach her or respond via feed! If there isn't any alcohol in this bistro, let's assume it wasn't alcoholic. ]]

[Action]
Not really the most creative pick up line… But since the lady seemed to know something about the darkness and well, she was a lady…
With a flourish a humble rose is presented to her before any conversation begins.]
A fateful meeting in a quiet location such as this…
[Indicating the calm corner of the little bar she had taken up residence in. ]
Are you waiting for anyone in particular to introduce themselves?
no subject
[ There is a smile as she receives the rose, admiring it a moment before setting it near her glass. ]
Not in particular, no. Just wondering if there would be anyone familiar amongst those who have gathered themselves here.
[ She seems a touch thoughtful at that moment as she takes another sip from her glass. ]
And you are...?
no subject
There was no one among the… [Survivors?] … visitors that I recognized. I do hope you have better luck.
no subject
[ The witch motions to the empty seat nearby. ]
It seems the same goes for both of us. No one I know has been brought here.
no subject
[Graciously accepts the offer and orders himself something… pretty… from the menu. ]
I am sorry to hear that. I can’t say that I really understand the Darkness or what has happened to our worlds… but being separated from the people you have grown close to must not be an easy thing.
no subject
[ She crosses her legs, watching him intently. ]
Daunting as it may seem, I have no doubt that whoever I've left behind is in good hands.
[ She seems thoughtful at this, staring into her glass a moment. ]

[but she feels obligated to respond. damn it.]
H-hello. [awkward pause] um...Rapunzel. My name, I mean, is Rapunzel.
[action]
A pleasure meeting you, Rapunzel. I suppose you aren't native to this world?
Re: [action]
I'm beginning to think this world doesn't have any natives, except for the moogles. [pauses] that is to say, no, I'm not.
[curious stare, because something about Yuuko is interesting. Perhaps it's the way she seems so comfortable in her own skin]
You aren't either, are you?
[action]
Oh believe me, there are a few others apart from the moogles who call this place home.
[ She takes a sip and a small smile curls on her lips at the second sentence. ]
I belong to no world in particular. You can say I exist between worlds.
Re: [action]
I feel bad for the moogles, they've been nothing but kind to everyone and not everyone has reciprocated. It can't be easy, trying to take care of so many lost people.
[blinks, absorbing Yuuko's statement]
Then...if you're from between worlds...does that mean you're here by choice? [trying to compute, failing a little bit]

Lilisette.
You seem to know a lot. Just what kind of a person are you?
[ She presses her fingertips together, tilting her head just so. There's something in those crimson eyes... a measure of curiosity. ]
They call me the Dimensional Witch.

[ And a headtilt as she watches the other closely. ]
It takes one to know one, I suppose?

And she's a bit uncertain about the way this woman is talking. ]
I'm Aerith. What do you mean about inevitability?
Everything is inevitable, dear. Unavoidable. The sheer belief that what will happen will happen.
We call this hitsuzen where I'm from.

[Sorry Yuuko, but anyone preaching about the 'inevitable' spells suspicious in his mind.]

Consider all meetings fated, even those you deem less than favourable. Every meeting changes us and this change, both for better or worse, is inevitable. It shapes us and the world, keeping everything in balance.
