[ Two minutes in and Yuuko had already managed to spot somewhere to get booze. So this is one slightly buzzed dimensional witch lounging in one of Traverse Town's bistros. She raises her glass, seemingly admiring the amber liquid against the light. It was no junmai daiginjo, but it would do. ]

The destruction of multiple worlds.

[ A pause as she takes a sip from her glass. ]

Darkness so overwhelming it can snuff out the sun. Suffocate the life force from an entire reality. Not a common circumstance but possible.

[ Another sip. Pretty good. Had a nice burn. ]

But where exactly did this darkness come from?

[ She drains the glass unceremoniously and turns back to the camera. ]

Well, no sense in being shy. Introduce yourselves. After all...

[ And there is a knowing smile as she says this. ]

It was inevitable that we would meet each other here under these circumstances.

[Trying not to allow the surprise of that to throw him off… and failing as the shock registers on his face for a brief moment. ]

It’s Chloé. That other person doesn’t exist anymore.

[Eyes Yuuko decidedly more suspiciously than before. ]

Here and there. Nowhere in particular. You can say I belong between dimensions.

[ Glass drained, hand now resting beneath chin. That brief moment of shock brings a small smirk to her lips. ]

[Cautiously watching the Lady’s every move. There was the possibility that she was able to read minds or… since they were in this strange place… ]

Since you aren’t from Earth… Is that magic then? That ability you have to know things that haven’t been said?

[ Oh yeah, she can do that no problem... Normally. But then ever since she tried, it's been more tiring than usual. She watches him over the rim of her glass. ]

You can say that but possibly not the sort you were expecting.
But let's put that aside for now.

What's important at the moment is gathering where we are and what we intend to do now.

If our worlds have already been destroyed by the Darkness is there anything we can do?

[It sounded like a defeated question, but really it was more inquisitive than it was resigned to this fate. ]

I'm certain they'll find a way to pull our worlds back from the darkness.

[ Another sip as she crosses her legs and pours herself another. ]

The king's a reliable mouse.

[Ah yea… about that… ]

The King is one of the more fanciful elements of this place… I’m not sure how much faith I am willing to put behind a fictional mouse.

[ And she chuckles, swirling the liquid in her glass. ]

What may be fictional in one world may be reality in another. Realities are complicated and unexpected. Eventually, one's beliefs may shatter for having to see things that one's experience alone can't explain.

My belief won’t shatter.

[Solidly stated, more like a oath. Followed by a gallows humor style joke.]

My sanity on the other hand… has been in question since I arrived.

[ There is a chuckle as she leans back slightly to get a better look at him. ]

I can imagine how daunting this must be for someone like yourself. But there have always been worlds outside your own.

This may be rather hard to swallow.

[At least she has been entertained. He smiles about that. ]

But, all of this seems almost normal to you. You have seen stranger things than this?

There are things most have seen one would consider strange and another would consider mundane.

[ And with a smile, that's all she's gonna say on the matter. ]

Now then. Have you decided what you'll be doing here?

[What a cagey lady… But he shrugs idly at her question.]

From what I have been told there is very little we can do. I haven’t noticed a florist here however. Maybe a thing like that could bring a little brightness into a dark world like this.

[No, he really has no clue what to do. He is still trying to decide. To go looking for the others, to fight against the darkness, or to do as the King seemed to suggest and do nothing until the worlds were restored. The last option really being the least appealing.]

Thinking of putting up a flower shop then? I can see a few who would benefit from a few...

[ A pause to take sip from here glass. There is a slight eyebrow raise at the fact the bottle's now empty but... do what you can on limited resources and all. But she turns her attention back to her companion. ]

Seems you aren't the type to just sit idly by while all this happens.

[Chloé slowly swirled the colorful drink he was still nursing. ]

Maybe. [A flower shop has always been good cover in the past. ] There isn’t much else a florist like myself can contribute.

[ There is a teeny knowing smile as she drains her glass. ]

I'm sure you'll find a way to make yourself useful in this new environment.

What about yourself? Do you know what you will be doing in this place?

We'll see what comes up... but I might set up shop here.

[ Really considering this. There are wishes to grant, people to sucker into giving her stuff... I mean.. ]

[Innocent one over here has no idea what kind of shop that would be. ]

This place could use a few more shops around. I wish you luck if you decide to attempt that.

Perhaps we'll both need a little luck in a place like this.

[ Tiny grin, watching her glass before glancing back up again. ]
