Darkness... So it's come to this.

[The video shows an image of a man in draconian armor, his eyes hidden in shadow by the helmet. He's scowling deeply though, at the things those Hummingway- no, wait, moogles- have told him.]

Everything depends upon finding my way home. I refuse to accept that I can't return.

[Kain's mind is made up and that's all there is to it.]

...but how do I leave?

I've not come across any with much intellect. They fight with their fists--or, more accurately, their claws--and they occasionally attack in groups. My first night here I fought several in the hotel, which seems to be a common sight. Since I've gone to Radiant Garden I've encountered a few different kinds, but none that could pose much of a threat.

Especially not to a dragoon. Though I encounter new species every day, so it may be best to stay on guard. I'm still learning about these worlds, but my name is Lilisette. If you've a question, or I can do anything for you, I'll be available.

I'm traveling to several different worlds this week, but I can always find time for more. But I know a place you'd fit right into, wearing a look like that.

[And Kain is still unused to being in a world where some people won't have a clue what dragoons are. He assumes they're known to everyone. They're one of Baron's strongest, oldest military forces after all.]

...I'm Kain Highwind. And I offer my spear to fight these Heartless and all forces of Darkness.

[A pause. He doesn't exactly like the notion of settling anywhere in a foreign world. He just wants his mountain back. But he realizes he will have to be practical about this...]

It's a pleasure to meet you, Kain. Knowing we have your spear on our side is a great relief.

There's a man on Radiant Garden named Leon who also defaults to scowling and brooding. It was simply a joke. Although the world is rather beautiful, if you'd like to see it.

Oh! I recently learned of a world called the Land of Dragons. A friend of mine showed me a view from the mountains there, and though he said there were no dragons... Well, mountains and dragons go hand in hand.

If you would be up for some exploring, I can take you there.

[There might be a faint trace of enthusiasm buried in his tone deep deep down. Because this does catch his interest, very much so. Even if he's still set on his mountain, back home.]

[And Kain, being Kain likes the idea of solitude out there too...]

Take me to its borders or point me in the right direction. Dragoons are meant to live in the mountains.

It's not as simple as pointing the way. The worlds are disconnected by darkness, so there's only one way to get between them. I can escort you any time after the evening of the fifteenth.

In the meantime, grow accustomed to your surroundings and... If you've any friends who might have made it, they'll likely also be somewhere in that town.

[He's quiet a moment but soon enough relents.] Very well. I would see how to go between the worlds when you're prepared. I'll be fine on my own in the meantime.

[He doesn't particularly want to see out anyone he might know, it's too soon for that.]

All right, then. You should have a hotel key, which is located in the second district, if you wish to have a place for yourself. I'll contact you when I'm on my way to Traverse Town.

I'll find my way there. [A temporary living place. That's all it is, he tells himself.] And very well, I'll keep watch for that contact.
