Darkness... So it's come to this.

[The video shows an image of a man in draconian armor, his eyes hidden in shadow by the helmet. He's scowling deeply though, at the things those Hummingway- no, wait, moogles- have told him.]

Everything depends upon finding my way home. I refuse to accept that I can't return.

[Kain's mind is made up and that's all there is to it.]

I'm sorry about your home. But... you can't go back there yet. There are other worlds you can go to, but not yours. Not until we've done something about the darkness.

My world can not be destroyed by Darkness. All I depend upon is there...

[Mount Ordeals... the trial... how else will he ever rid himself of darkness now? That it's a threat to his world makes this even worse...]

I understand--I do. My own is gone as well. But it's not destroyed, it's merely overtaken. So there is hope; we will get it back.



There are beings known as Heartless that can materialize from the shadows. They cannot be banished by simple blades, but they can be repelled. Some of us are out gathering answers to determine what else can be done; the more we learn, the more we can do.

I've not come across any with much intellect. They fight with their fists--or, more accurately, their claws--and they occasionally attack in groups. My first night here I fought several in the hotel, which seems to be a common sight. Since I've gone to Radiant Garden I've encountered a few different kinds, but none that could pose much of a threat.



Especially not to a dragoon. Though I encounter new species every day, so it may be best to stay on guard. I'm still learning about these worlds, but my name is Lilisette. If you've a question, or I can do anything for you, I'll be available.

I'm traveling to several different worlds this week, but I can always find time for more. But I know a place you'd fit right into, wearing a look like that.

[fidgets a little] I'm not sure, honestly. I'm not a fighter myself and so I haven't really learned much about it. But I can help you get in touch with some people, that are trying to find a way, if you'd like.

Not enough to get home yet. If anyone could get you home, they could get themselves home, meaning they wouldn't be here to answer your demands.

It's completely absurd, but ... there's a glimmer of far-fetched hope in this one's eyes when her response appears to the transmission.]
