[Video / Open Action : The World that Never Was ]

[ If you want to see the power and strength of the Darkness why not dive into its very heart? Or… at least the closest thing to it that you can. That was why this world was chosen. A world filled with the heartless and another strange kind of monster that no one had mentioned to him before. They were white and instead of slithering across the ground they kind of pranced methodically forward before striking out with their long limbs.
The creature he faced did just that, sliding closer over the ground and then pausing as if to size him up before striking out at him. The attack was met and countered with a sudden successful deployment of a laser like weapon. A sword of light that flashed to life from a strange metallic housing on the Commander’s forearm.
Eagle smiled as the creature recoiled. For all that posing and strutting they were still weak to laser weapons? It gave him an advantage.
The Dusk swiveled forward as Eagle leapt away from this fresh assault until both were lost off screen. The sounds of a battle could be heard but the device sat peacefully where it was, only being disturbed once when a heartless slithered over to it to look deep inside the lens. Behind the heartless a few more of its companions could be seen heading towards the noisy skirmish. The heartless bobbed its head and picked up the device but before it could do much more than turn it over in its clawed hand the creature was swallowed up by a flash of bright light. The supplies these monsters drop when they disappear scattered across the ground and with them the communicator also fell to a rubble strewn resting place until it was recovered and dusted off by its owner. ]

Are you alright over there?

[Eagle spoke to some one over his shoulder and while the answer wasn’t picked up by the camera he did look back at the device. ]

The red light is… Has this been on the entire time? Apparently that is a problem these communicators have. They like to turn themselves on at inconvenient times.

But, since it is on anyway. The dark shadowy creatures are the heartless, but maybe some one could tell me what the white figures are? They are very different than the other creatures.

[He smiles mischievously when he adds. ]

Mr. Mystery Voice, if you would like to meet I could return to Traverse Town after we finish up here. There is a little tavern there that would make a nice meeting place.

[He walks over to this guy. This guy sure looks different up close.]

I don't know what their relation with the heartless is but they certainly have shown to have a higher rank than the heartless.

Whose body is it?

[Eagle became a little guarded when the other approached. His voice had been different than the grumpy-yet-kind voice Eagle remembered and maybe this was the same person just touched by a strange curse, or maybe it was not. It was better to be a little cautious. ]

I did notice that. Their attacks don't seem as direction-less either.

He didn't give me a name. [A lie.] It doesn't matter. As long as he keeps my body safe.

For now, we should look for the heartless.

[You are big on keeping names secret, aren't you? Eagle is amused by that. ]

Yes, I suppose we should. The more of those creatures I can scan the better the data set will be.

[He's got a reputation to keep, man! If people found out he was actually NICE to someone...]

You never told me how this scanning worked.

No, I hadn't had the chance to yet.

This is something from my world. With it I can run scans of the surrounding area or target certain objects to learn more about them.

Let's see how good it is. I think I can help you find some heartless.

[He started leading the way. Now. To lure them in without Eagle knowing this body had some authority over them...]

[So far Eagle was fooled. The heartless did appear in front of everyone so that they appeared now and made their way closer to the nameless person... well, that was just something they did. ]

Be careful that they don't get too close.

[He probably knew that, but the warning was given anyway. With a few more heartless around Eagle did take the chance to scan them, just as it was planned. ]

Instead of warning me, you should scan the heartless. I'm not getting they're attention just so you can stare at them.

[Ok, that gains another little laugh. Eagle had been scanning them already, granted it didn't look like he was doing anything. Autozam tech was mentally controlled, all he had to do was will the device to start scanning and it would. ]

I just didn't want you to get careless.

[This data once given a good looking over might be very useful in understanding the heartless. It would require a little analysis first. ]

Can you get away now without their trying to come after you?

[Seto sent them an order, they seemed to have gotten excited about something before scurrying off right past him. He pretended to shield himself before turning to look at the pack leaving.]

Does that count as an escape?

You did get past them without any trouble, I think that can count as an escape.

Sometimes it's the fastest way to get close enough. No problem.

Let's find some more. I can tell you what I learned on my own while we search.

I am curious about that. What have you been able to learn?

For one, I learned how heartless are formed and that there are different types of them. At least that's how I see it. The name heartless isn't exactly a nickname, that's what they are. You know, that's what they lack.

[It's even hard for him to say it.]

It's complicated.

How are heartless formed?

[The bit about their not having a heart Eagle had already heard but how they managed to live without them was still something of a mystery.
Eagle fell into step beside the nameless person since he was very eager to hear more about this. ]

And do you know what they attack worlds?
