Did you have a good New Year's dream? I thought about the custom of New Year's resolutions. I thought about making a few for myself, and working to accomplish them.

I still will, but I thought it might be more important to make some resolutions together. To talk about what we want to change and improve in the worlds here. Of course, being able to revive our worlds and return home is the priority, but we can't ignore where we are, either.

I'm not really an expert... [She always has a disclaimer.] But, I'll definitely try. I can try to look it up, too, if it's something I'm not familiar with.

Alright! Do you want to meet in person some where? It might be better than talking about it over the network like this.

If I'm coming there, it might be a lot to ask you to come to the docks; we can meet somewhere close to where we're going.

Um... there is a little park next to a cute restaurant, it isn't too far away from the gummi ship docks, would you like to meet there?

That sounds perfect. Shall I contact you once I arrive?

That would be nice! Then I can watch for you.

[She'll bring a small gift as a thank-you for taking the time out like this.]

[Sae meanwhile will just be waiting around until Ami arrives... after she pulls herself out of the bush she kind of crash landed her broom in. ]

[Sae, you really need to be more careful... Or find a good instructor to help you sharpen up your magic. As soon as she arrives, Ami shields her eyes to glance around for her friend, and then contacts her via the communicators.]

It's Ami; I've arrived just now. Shall we meet?

[She wouldn't disagree with that, but the crash in this case was due to a fit of klutziness rather than magical failure. That is what happens, at least to Sae, when she focuses too much on trying not to run into something she is destined to hit it. ]

Yes! I'm.. uh... here!

[She answers while pulling a few leaves out of her hair and stumbling out onto the sidewalk. ]

[Ami startles at Sae's appearance, and looks concerned at once.]

Are you alright? [It looks almost like Sae ran into trouble... which isn't really too far off the mark.] Were you hurt?

[speakstojeffy]

No, I... I'm alright. I just... I am a little klutzy and I couldn't avoid running into the bush somehow.

[It was a pretty big bush! ]

But, its ok! The resteruant is just over there.

[Point. ]

Do you want to go in now?

Please be careful in the future. [You worry her, Sae.]

Let's go in, though.

I do try not to run into things, I really do!

[She just can't seem to help herself.
At least she makes her way into the restaurant and over to the table indicated by the waiter alright. ]

I believe you. [Ami smiles, meant to be encouraging. Without further trouble, they're both seated and she's perusing the menu.]

Do you have a favorite meal here?

[speakstojeffy]

I actually like the strawberry pancakes. I know that isn't really a meal, it is more like a breakfast, but I think that is what I would like to have again.

[Her menu is set aside once the decision is made. ]

Do you see something that looks good to you?

[She decides to pretty much... do what Sae is doing.]

I think I'd like to try the blueberry pancakes.

Maybe while they are making our pancakes I could tell you about my dream.

There was a moon and Jeffy and I were flying by it. The moon then unexpectedly got dark and it was hard to see. Suddenly Jeffy stood up and walked down my broom stick to look up at me. He seemed to be pointing at something but is was so dark I couldn’t see what it was. I was a little afraid since I couldn’t see anything and I tried to tell Jeffy that, but he kept pointing anyway. He pointed and he actually said, “It’s a secret, but you can find it.”
Then the next thing I knew the sun was rising, it wasn’t scary anymore and Mount Fuji was there just like I had hoped it would be! I think Jeffy… well, I think he took me to see Mount Fuji. The dark scary night turned into a really pretty day.

So, what do you think it means?

They say the first step in interpreting a dream is what the dreamer thinks it means. After all, they know their own mind and experiences best. Did it mean something to you?

[speakstojeffy]

Um well... it just proves that Jeffy is always looking out for me, even now. But...

[Thinking, thinking... was there more to it than that? ]

And you got to see Mt. Fuji as you hoped. It'll be a good year for you.

I did hope that I would! Maybe my luck will improve then and we can find a way to defeat the darkness. That would be really, really lucky!

It might take a lot of hard work, too, but luck will definitely help us as well.

[speakstojeffy]

But until then... I guess we can have pancakes.

[Since they arrived and they look very tasty to Sae. As very nearly takes a big bite from one of the cakes before she stops... and lowers her fork back down to the plate.]

Do... do you really think dreams have meanings? I mean, has anything you ever dreamed come true?

[geniustheveil]

[The true answer: Yes. Some very painful things from their dreams have come true over the course of their years as senshi. But she doesn't want to discourage Sae, even while she doesn't want to lie. Ami finds herself putting down her fork after a taste of the pancakes.]

I think prophetic dreams can exist. We've seen remarkable powers like that here. But I don't believe the future is set in stone.
