01 Strike ❀ A New Arrival ❀ [Video/Action for Traverse Town]

[Makoto took the device tentatively into her hand. The Moogle had been kind enough to turn it on for her but hadn’t had a chance to mention it before the brunette started turning it over from side to side. She was clearly kneeling down in order to be closer to the moogle, and her eyes were wide with curiosity]

Now,,,what is this thing again?

[This wasn’t the first time she’d seen anything like it, but it was the first time she’d seen this model… of…whatever it was. The view shifted from showing her face to the ground and sometimes caught snatches of the moogle. The moogle flailed a little and mouthed, “Its on!”. Makoto didn‘t catch it though.]

Hrn?

[Finally the moogle verbally explained it]

It’s a communicator, Kupo. It’s very important here, you should never be without it. Why don’t you introduce yourself to everyone

Everyone? [Makoto looked the moogle straight on then looked to the comm and noticed the red light. With a yelp..]

It’s on! [She threw it slightly into the air, obviously feeling embarrassed and flustered.] Why didn’t you tell me that before?!

I tried, Kupo! [Please don’t harm me]

[Makoto laughed awkwardly and placed a hand behind her head, then she pointed the lens back towards her.]

Uh… hi there everyone. I’m Makoto Kino, and I’m looking forward to meeting all of you. Well, maybe not all of you…but [She bowed her head for a moment then tried to end it on a positive note] If anyone could tell me more about this place, I’d really appreciate it.

[No, no, see that rug? It's a great place to sweep the worries under. Ami finds herself smiling in relief. It must not be too bad, anyway: Makoto isn't transformed, and doesn't look injured.]

You're in Traverse Town right now. [Ignorrring the question.] I'm in a place called Agrabah, but I can reach Traverse Town quickly, if you want to meet there.

[Speaking of decor, Makoto is noticing how strange that apartment of yours is Ami]

That's what Hotaru called it too. [Wait for it. Agrabah, why did it sound so familiar?] Like, in that movie? [Was it based on a real place? She couldn't remember]

Sure, whatever is easier!

I'm afraid so. [She looks a bit sheepish, painfully aware of how ridiculous it is to claim they're living in Disney movies.]

I know it seems unbelievable, but so far, we have no indication that it's false.

[She hasn't realized quite how strange that is... yet. Oh but she will] What are you doing all the way over there? Though... I guess I'm not exactly in Japan anymore either.

Did you arrive at the same time as Hotaru?

No, I arrived about six months before. [She keeps it brief, factual. There's no need to cloud with anything but the fact itself.]

Six months?! That's not possible. [She was not able to mask her surprise. Four days would have been a stretch, but 6 months?!]

I saw you just the other day!

It seems incredible, but it's definitely true. This place can bring us from different points in time. It may be because the enemy has also targeted different times.

It.. wouldn't be the first time where an enemy manipulated, well, time.

[It's plausible and she has no reason to question her friend]

So what's the enemy after this time? Energy? Star seeds? Pure hearts?

[I'm sorry Ami, Makoto doesn't know about private messages yet and she doesn't realize anyone can see this]

[It's alright, she'll simply switch to a private filter.]

Please be careful over the network. Our identity is already known to some people here. Giving them more reason to suspect it could be dangerous.

Their goal seems to be dragging the worlds and the people in them into darkness.

You mean they could see everything we just said?! [Oops. She grabs her skirt tightly and looks toward the ground] .. And.. I just said..that. [Her cheeks turn pink] Wait? There are already people here that know about the sailor senshi?

What good does that do them?

Some of them have become allies, or people we've been able to help. Some are simply scared. [The only one she think of likely to use it for bad off the top of her mind is probably Hades - and so far, even he's only gotten some creepy fog for the Underworld out of it.]

And some, knew it back in their world. Zoisite, and Kunzite when he was here. Maybe Nephrite, too, when he was.

However, we should still be cautious.

[She was going to have to be more careful, not wanting to out herself or her friends anymore than they had already been outed.]

[She tenses at the names of their old enemies] The shittenou were here!? [Ami did say that time was involved] They didn't try anything did they?

No. They... Kunzite was from after the Dark Kingdom was already defeated. Like they still help Mamoru-san in our world. And Zoisite... Zoisite seems to be against Beryl, too.

[Like they still help Mamoru....? That sounded a little odd but Makoto let it slide]

I wouldn't trust him. It's probably some kind of a trap to deceive us.

[Like when he dressed up like Sailor moon..]

It's not like that.

[Her sudden defense of the shitennou surprises her, a little. But she wants to be fair, and... they've done nothing wrong. She doubts Zoisite would help them, and she's aware through Kunzite of his resentment of the princess, but...]

I don't think they were our enemy. And if it's only Zoisite left, he must feel alone without the others.

I can't believe what I'm hearing. Don't you remember everything they did to us? What they were trying to achieve?

[Makoto can't believe you're defending them either. She also doesn't know that they're talking about different Kunzites and Zoisites. Realizes she might have sounded harsh and tries to soften her tone.]

Look, I know people can change... the Ayakashi sisters did.. but..

So have they. They've been our ally in our world. Why not here? They didn't do anything to hurt us, here. They even helped us. And back home, too. How long should they need to prove themselves?

I think Usagi-chan would say to believe, too.

[Her feelings just may be clouding her judgment, or at least her tone; but what she's said is true.]

[Ami said something weird.. again] I'm not sure what you're talking about, Ami. They never did anything to help us back home.. at least nothing I remember. [Now you've got her second guessing herself] I can't speak for how they've been acting here..

Usagi.. [Makoto tried off and looked towards the ground. Uasgi was one of the missing senshi. Had they left her to fight on her own...?]

[It had hurt, while Usagi was here, when the other girl had rarely spoken to her, when the group hadn't seemed to be, well, together. Ami's rigidly keeping her mind on the fact that it can be different this time.

Missing Usagi doesn't change, either way.]

We'll find a way to save Usagi-chan. She's saved us so many times.

[Makoto nodded]

Or she'll find a way to restore the world. [Makoto offered Ami the best smile she could muster under the circumstances].. Either way, we will be reunited.

[If Usagi was brought here again, that might be possible.]

For the time being, we've been fighting the heartless. And helping out in Agrabah as much as possible.

[Lol or she might be able to do something while she was on the planet. ]

I've heard about the heartless... but not really what they look like or anything. How will I know them when I see them?

[Not while she's lost in the darkness. Their hope is really gone while that situation continues.]

You'll know. They look a little like... like the lemures, maybe. They're dark and shadowy, with glowing eyes.

[Although the Ginzuishou is filled with pure light, its possible she might not be completely lost yet. Many of the worlds that had survived also had help from those that were already residing there.]

[She'll now be looking for humanoid looking weirdos, with glowing eyes, or round ball-like objects] Alright, they should stand out!

They aren't difficult to fight, but our powers can't destroy them. They'll return later.
