I have to say, I'm glad that everyone has pulled through the Heartless attack. And also, that we have a new world to explore.

I wonder, has anyone had a chance to go there yet? I'm thinking of checking it out myself. Hotaru, would you like to go with me on that?

[At this, Setsuna switches to video, revealing her secret underground basement lab...and its in shambles. There's been definite clean-up done on parts of it, but its pretty obvious that quite a lot of the equipment is beyond gone.

At this, she lets out the smallest stress sigh.]

So...the Heartless energy from the invasion shorted out the tracking mainframe just before they actually arrived in the worlds. It couldn't handle the sudden influx of so much energy, so we'll need to go back and improve the schematics on that, so that it won't die out like this again.

Aah, but Rei, Makoto, Hotaru...you probably don't know what I mean. Its a worlds-wide tracking system Ami and I have been working on in order to track Heartless energy and movements and to prevent invasions...like the one that just happened. The tracking devices themselves are still working, though right now there's nothing to send the data to.

[Her frank tone, however, can't hide her disappointment entirely. Months of work, up in smoke. And judging by the burn marks on some of the stuff, that statement was quite literal.]

[She's trying to be positive, at least. The truth is, it bothers her, too. To have to start again, after coming so far...]

[Her eyes narrow slightly.]

Though, we also have the threat of Malificent to deal with.

We'll have help in that. We won't be fighting alone. More of us are here, and we have allies in these worlds, especially against her goals.

I know that. But, the barrier is apparently impenetrable. We all will certainly have to find a way to get enough warriors through it before she manages to become too ensconced in the castle.

Or we'll have to find a way to take down the barrier.

I doubt the direct approach casting magic at the darkness barrier will work much, unfortunately.

...It is quite possible that using teleportation could allow an access point through the barrier. But, the question is how to keep such an access point, regardless of how it's created, open long enough to take the barrier down, or to make any headway against Maleficent's stronghold on the castle.

[A pause.]

Perhaps we should request another meeting with others, much as the Fire Lord did before the invasion.

Our Sailor Teleport might be able to get us inside, but probably not with others.

[Trying to figure out how to answer this while leaving the filter in place made her reply a little late, but once she figured it out Hotaru's smiling face appeared on the video screen. ]

I would love to go see this new world with you. Do you know what kind of world it is?

[The rest of the message she didn't really understand, since it was all new information for her.]

I am sorry your machine broke. What was it supposed to do, warn of heartless attacks?

Yes...that was what it was intended to do.

[A smile.]

[Makoto didn't understand a lot of what Setsuna said, at least not at first. So it was a machine to track those heartless creatures she kept hearing about.]

Hey, it's just a little setback right? At least the whole thing didn't fall apart. [There were still those operational tracking devices]

[Actually, its a pretty big setback, but she doesn't let that on.]

Yeah, you're, um... kind of shrunk when you go there. I think most of us ended up being about eight inches tall.
