[Kanda hadn't gone to work in a few days, he really hadn't left his bedroom either. Because the guy was so quiet, it was hard to notice he was still there but sometime during the afternoon, Kanda came out, hair loose, shirtless, and with a blue duck in tow. He went straight for the fridge, the duckling looking over his leg at all the things inside.]

You want something? I guess I need to feed you at some point, just choose something.

[At his master's command, it crept towards the fridge raided the vegetables and then dragged out the gallon of juice. Kanda frowned.]

Hey, not the whole damned thing! You're going to drink that from a bowl like a normal-

[But the duck didn't seem to listen. There went the gallon of juice and Kanda just threw his hands up and started rummaging through the cupboards.]

Fine. Do whatever you want. Just don't tell Allen about this. [He found what he was looking for, a bottle of rum he took from Port Royal.] I'm not in the mood for anything today.

[she blinks.]

Allen? [Why would she...]

Don't worry Kanda. This is a conversation between you and me.

[decaying]

[He just nodded before turning around and taking a seat on the couch. Crap. He left his bottle in the kitchen.]

[sanguineheels]

[No drinking, Kanda.]

You should try to relax tonight. Maybe even stay home tomorrow. [AND REST]

[decaying]

I was planning on it. I just need to get some sleep... [But that's not going to happen.]

[sanguineheels]

[she sits down on the couch with him, reaching behind her to pull the throw off of the back of it. With a quick flick of her wrist she unfolds the blanket and settles it over him.]

Take a nap for now. [she'll shuffle you to bed later.]

[decaying]

[He turns his attention to her and gives the throw she put on him a puzzled look. She was right, he needed a good long rest, but it was hard. He really didn't want to sleep.]

Don't leave yet.

[He muttered, grabbing her by the arm and pulling her over to him. He normally didn't like company but now that she at least knew his predicament, he felt a little more reassured. She would understand. Just a little bit.]

[sanguineheels]

[She's only slightly startled by the sudden demand, but not about to deny the request. She scoots closer, settling a reassuring hand on the one of his on her arm.]

I'll stay.

[decaying]

[He leaned back in the couch, letting go of her wrist and slipping it around her just in case he passed out. She'd have an exit like this. He had a pretty strong grip when he wanted to.]

[sanguineheels]

[She reached over and grabbed one of the extra pillows on the couch, and placed it behind his head so he would - hopefully - not get a crook in his neck before shifting the way she sat so she was comfortably curled up against him.

She's not so much worried about an exit, since she plans on staying until he's awake again.]

[decaying]

[Lenalee, you're a good friend. He leaned in for a moment giving her a light little nuzzle at her forehead before leaning back. He was going to pass out in a matter of minutes.]

[She does her best. Her friends are what matter the most to her, after all.]
