[Once she had gotten word that there was a library at the school, Ami had made a habit of having regular visits there. She had already gotten through a few of her old favorites, but she was finding herself hesitant to try anything new...

...that, and she didn't even know where to start.

Once she'd found a quiet, secluded little corner in the library, away from any students or easily-annoyed librarians, she opened communication on her device to send out a broadcast for the first time since her ~~return~~ arrival.]

So...

[Eep! Was she too loud?! She hunches her shoulders slightly and keeps her voice at a stage-whisper.]

So I would like to see if there's any interest in starting a book club, here? With such a lovely library, it would be a shame to see the opportunity go to waste!

[She smiles momentarily, but her brow quickly furrows in concern.] Unless there already is one? I'm sorry, I hadn't thought to look into that. If there is a book club, then...please accept my apologies, I don't mean to impose with my own, I'd happily join one if there's already one in existence.

Oh! I mean, if there's open membership, I mean.

[Aaagh, she should've thought out what she was going to say before opening her mouth. Great job, Ami. Now you're blushing, no doubt. Next time write down what you wish to say, and don't stray from it.]

I should have guessed you would think of starting a book club.

I haven't been to the school to actually know if such a thing exists though, so can't help you there.

Maybe no one thought about it at the time.

[Because she fails at school so avoids it. Instead going into business was a much better idea.]

But hey, this way you can be president of your own club. Not as good as being president of a country, but it's something.

I don't believe there is one, but I can suggest a few books for when there is one.

Great. I know of some old time classic romance novels that people might enjoy.

I'm not sure if a romance novel would be something that would appeal to a broad audience. [She doubts any boys would want to read it, unless it was a classic of some sort.]

Then some people just don't get what's so great about romance novels.

Which ones did you have in mind? [Something like Wuthering Heights might have cross-appeal, for example...]

I never doubted you for a moment. [She smiles.] Do you have any ideas of where you want to start with the selections?

I was thinking of just browsing the library and making a few selections...but it was entirely dependent on who was interested. 'Cater to your audience' and what-not.
