[Rumpelstiltskin is smiling. This in and of itself is probably not at all surprising. In fact, it's genuinely par for the course.

The video shows that he's not in his shop for once, instead out and about and in motion. And even more surprising, perhaps, is what he decides to ask about.]

Where I'm from, love is a very powerful magic. Well, the right kind of love is.

So tell me, dearies, what is your experience with love? Have you been in love? Does love conquer all where you're from? Has it ever saved someone you know?

I can't help my curiosity, after all. [Here he giggles, high pitched, the sound sudden and then ending just as abruptly.] So perhaps you wouldn't mind indulging an old man's wondering.

Yes, I would imagine you were, deary.

Perhaps not. But the only I've spoken to so far. It remains to be seen who else. [Bit of a grin.] I'm curious if love is as powerful in other worlds as it is in mine, whether the source of magic or not.

I'm kind of curious to see who else here has too. I think it is as powerful in most places, even if it's not magic. It can be what gives people the determination to do what they normally wouldn't.

Yes, I believe that's likely true. It's a powerful thing.

[A giggle.] Dangerous at times. The things we do for love aren't always... [Little wiggle of his fingers.] perfectly rational.

Who cares about being rational? [He smirks, hand in a fist.] But...it can be dangerous, so I guess a little rationality is good. Too many times people don't look for another way because of the word love. Other times, they get too caught up in it, so either way it is dangerous.

Who indeed, deary!

[Here though he nods.] It's true, of course. Love is a perilous thing at times. And indiscriminate in its destruction. A fact I have come to know all too well myself.

It can be destructive, but the thing about it is there are times when that can make it stronger. [He stares at him pointedly.]

Stronger, certainly. And strong in its devastation too. [He looks strangely thoughtful at this.] And then there are those times where love... destroys other love.

Like when that's all the person can focus on, and so others are forgotten? It's sad, but it happens that way too frequently.

It does indeed, deary. [A pause and he adds, quieter.] Regrettably so.

[He looks down, thoughts elsewhere, then back at him.] But that doesn't have to happen to everyone.

Well, I should hope not. It's a terrible thing to realize, that you've let one love kill another.

It must be, but they could still try to fix it.

Only sometimes. There's not always a second chance.

But some people are lucky enough to get that chance.

It's true. And such a chance should not be wasted. That would be unforgivable.

But, regardless. I am quite curious as to who here knows love of that truest sort.

[Back to those manic sort of giggles.] It could be useful.

Useful for what? [He blinks, curious.]

No magic is more powerful than love, deary. If we're to get out of this place, it could prove useful.

You mean like create some way for us to get out? Wouldn't the love have to take some form, like those stupid keyblades?

Love in its natural form can break a curse.

[Here though he holds up a finger.] Or, if it's true enough and strong enough, I can bottle a potion of it. I've managed it before, once.

Then how come it hasn't yet?

What do you do with the potion?

Perhaps none here is strong enough. Perhaps this isn't precisely a curse.

Well... what I would have done with it is irrelevant now. [A wave of his hand.] It was a safety valve for another curse that I believed would be cast.

So basically we still don't have any solutions besides the keyblades, which we can't use.
