10 Night ◯ Reflection [Video from Beast Castle]

[As of October 31st, Kaname had been here for an entire year. It had been an eventful one at that. He was the only one left from his world. Yuuki's departure was a grim disappointment for him, but since he had experienced it before he was better prepared for it a second time. That being said it was still terribly lonely without her by his side. He would still continue to set plans into motion as if she were still here, because his efforts wouldn't cease until she was restored. In the brief period of time that Rima had been here she'd been able to learn more about him than most due to one of Maleficent's schemes and it had felt like she was someone he could rely on in a tight spot. Aidou on the other hand... the situation between them had remained tense the entire duration but there had been a reason for it. He briefly wondered how the three of them were faring now.

He had made the acquaintance of a few of the other refugees in his stay here. He held a favorable opinion of Belle, Cheza, Usagi, and Mr. Crawford (Of whom he'd managed to witness a touch of the others powers). In all honesty he wasn't sure what to make of Sebastian, his master, Seto Kaiba, or that other florist.. but the first had been a cordial host during a crisis. Kanda, might be useful at some point.. assuming that he would be just as against a power hungry, bloodthirsty monster as he hoped. More recently, and on a bit of a whim Kaname had decided to invest his munny in something.

A more pressing concern, was the lack of a source for blood. Kaname was growing a bit weaker from being deprived of the necessary liquid, and would have to make some sort of arrangement soon. That did not mean that he had any intention of revealing his darker nature to the rest of the populace. It was bad enough that Miss Hotaru (and subsequently Kanda) knew about it. It did however...call for a trip to the clinic on Traverse Town. They might have a few supplies that could aide him towards sating his current need.

After a good deal of reflection, Kaname picked up the communicator and addressed the community]

Good evening, everyone. I believe we should consider ourselves fortunate to have been able to enjoy a few moments of peace before the next.. incident. [He refrained from mentioning the plans to strike against Maleficent, though if he had he would have wished those who volunteered well. The leaders of said strike had appeared keen on keeping it a secret.. he wouldn't slip up and openly unveil it here]

I trust that you all have been well?

[There was no mention of his anniversary, for he saw no need in celebrating it. What was time to a vampire anyway?]

I just go to school and sometimes look after Kanda's pokemon for him.

Furthering your education is an admirable goal. [That's what he'd been using Beast's library for, etc, etc]

Not as interesting as you might think. [He lightly smiled. ~~Hanging out with the DS, Reading, that sort of thing~~] I've mostly been keeping to myself.

[It was a welcome change that Hotaru could speak so casually with him]

Though I suppose if you're wondering what promoted the transmission, it's no secret really. As of two days ago, I'll have been here for an entire year. It's not much of a milestone but it was that realization that caused me to pick up the communicator.

[Pegasus was quite astute to notice his condition. Avoiding sunlight kept Kaname looking pale, so most probably wouldn't pick up on it]

I'm fine. [He replied casually enough.] I hadn't seen much of you lately. Keeping busy I presume? [He was quick to change the subject back to Pegasus]

Busy is one word for it, I suppose.

....One year already? That's a long time.

[But he's seeing something else in all this. Besides paleness, that is.]

[So he is. The last time he'd been feeling this low, the only person who had noticed it was Ami. She had been kind enough to try and get him to a clinic, but he had gracefully dodged going inside it. It was semi-ironic how he was planning to go to the clinic now.]

It's not necessary. [it was gracious of Pegasus to offer but he didn't wish for the man to go out of his way. Beast Castle was some distance from Traverse Town.]

It's always nice to have those quiet moment before war, though sometimes people never notice. [But it's more obvious here with the worlds being so small.]

I'm sorry to hear that. It's a pity that any world need be embroiled in violent conflicts.

[Not that his world was any better. There might not have been a traditional war going on there, but it was a war nonetheless.]

Yes, several in fact. The most recent incident involved an unusual mist that caused people to see, and experience their worst nightmares as if they were actually occurring.
