10 Night ◯ Reflection [Video from Beast Castle]

[As of October 31st, Kaname had been here for an entire year. It had been an eventful one at that. He was the only one left from his world. Yuuki's departure was a grim disappointment for him, but since he had experienced it before he was better prepared for it a second time. That being said it was still terribly lonely without her by his side. He would still continue to set plans into motion as if she were still here, because his efforts wouldn't cease until she was restored. In the brief period of time that Rima had been here she'd been able to learn more about him than most due to one of Maleficent's schemes and it had felt like she was someone he could rely on in a tight spot. Aidou on the other hand... the situation between them had remained tense the entire duration but there had been a reason for it. He briefly wondered how the three of them were faring now.

He had made the acquaintance of a few of the other refugees in his stay here. He held a favorable opinion of Belle, Cheza, Usagi, and Mr. Crawford (Of whom he'd managed to witness a touch of the others powers). In all honesty he wasn't sure what to make of Sebastian, his master, Seto Kaiba, or that other florist.. but the first had been a cordial host during a crisis. Kanda, might be useful at some point.. assuming that he would be just as against a power hungry, bloodthirsty monster as he hoped. More recently, and on a bit of a whim Kaname had decided to invest his munny in something.

A more pressing concern, was the lack of a source for blood. Kaname was growing a bit weaker from being deprived of the necessary liquid, and would have to make some sort of arrangement soon. That did not mean that he had any intention of revealing his darker nature to the rest of the populace. It was bad enough that Miss Hotaru (and subsequently Kanda) knew about it. It did however...call for a trip to the clinic on Traverse Town. They might have a few supplies that could aide him towards sating his current need.

After a good deal of reflection, Kaname picked up the communicator and addressed the community]

Good evening, everyone. I believe we should consider ourselves fortunate to have been able to enjoy a few moments of peace before the next.. incident. [He refrained from mentioning the plans to strike against Maleficent, though if he had he would have wished those who volunteered well. The leaders of said strike had appeared keen on keeping it a secret.. he wouldn't slip up and openly unveil it here]

I trust that you all have been well?

[There was no mention of his anniversary, for he saw no need in celebrating it. What was time to a vampire anyway?]

I am so happy to hear that you're doing well, despite all the strangeness and conflicts the worlds have been through. I hadn't heard from you in some time, it brought upon worry.

( smile never faltering, she nods to him ) I cannot say I've been unwell myself.

I must apologize for my absence then, I didn't intend to cause you concern. [Given the nature of these worlds, if someone went missing it oftentimes meant that they had been swallowed by the darkness.]

That is good to hear. [It was a pity that he'd never visited that shop of hers and her partners, perhaps he'd change that in future.]

Nonsense. Friends are always concerned for friends when they do not speak with them for an extended amount of time. I am simply glad that you are well and unharmed.

( the shop is always opened, he could always come by and have some tea. according to Rumplestiltskin, she makes the best tea. that's incentive, right? )

[That certainly sounds like enough of an incentive. One would need to confirm whether Rumplestilskin was correct or not, right? Though really, her company would be enough.]

Thank you, Kaname. Thus far I have managed to keep free from too much peril, one could almost call it a sort of small victory. ( how though, is shocking to her, given her nature to stumble into terrible things all the time )

Ah, well. ( to this, she presses her palms together and gives a light shrug ) Customers come and go, the business is not really my forté as it were — that falls on Rumplestiltskin more often than not. He has not fallen into any tantrums lately though, so, things must be going well. ( a soft chuckle passes her lips )

What of you? How have you kept yourself busy as of late, Kaname?

They could indeed. [Conversely, Kaname managed to stay ahead of the game in his own time yet here.. he'd fallen prey to others plots more often than he was proud to mention]

[He had a feeling that Rumplestilskin might be the more business savvy of the two, but Belle was undoubtedly more approachable. That sort of combination could work well for their endeavors. The two could play off of each others strengths.] I haven't witnessed one of those "tantrums" lately, no. [He confirmed, having seen one of those via the comm before]

I've been dabbling with a few things.. but it's been less eventful of late. [He had attended a meeting recently... that Belle definitely didn't need to know about, and he'd made a financial investment]

( oh, come now. rumplestiltskin is very approac— okay, no. she can't even fathom how anyone might find him approachable in the first place. it remains a shock to her (at times) that she gets away with the amount of teasing and such toward him that she does.

If he's not having fits, then I assume the business seems to be going well. For myself, I've just kept myself busy with the daily ins and outs, as it were. ( gently, she nodded and glanced off toward something in the room as though spotting yet another thing that would be in need of polishing ) Things always do need cleaning, it seems.

( shaking her head, she returned her gaze to Kaname ) I see, how unfortunate that. Perhaps something splendid is coming your way, though. One never does know.
