... [ another soft groan passes her lips as she tosses and turns in bed some more. it's about a half past ten and masane finds that she's still unable to fall asleep. it's been like this for nights, and it's beginning to wear her thin. ]

...stupid Halloween Town. [ it certainly left its impression... a shame it hadn't been the one she'd hoped for. ugh! seriously. that's the first and last time she's ever setting foot there again! but there's more to it than that. a lot more. ]

[ pawing for her communicator she sits up and turns the feed on. ] H- Hey. ...guys... [ and she looks aside a moment. ] I know it's late, but, uh, ...I was thinking... maybe we could, y'know, ...hang out. [ read; i'm scared and i don't want to be alone anymore. this house makes strange noises at night! ] I just... I could really use some company.

[ He stares at the remote for a moment. Why is it being handed to him? He is not an expert here! ]

[ We can watch a movie in a minute just... let him watch them explode this bath tub please? ]

No. I... there's nothing special. But, uh, ...maybe something to lighten the mood. [ all she is interested in doing right now is forgetting. her hand moves to the blade on her wrist and she clutches it tightly. ]

[ asdfgh. jerks around at the explosion and almost tears her own arm off. ] ...mythbusters? Sure. [ and she's going to start moving toward the kitchen to check up on the tea stuffs... but there's another explosion! and man these guys are pretty cool. unable to look away she walks straight into the wall. ]

... [ sighs... in shame. ]

[When Mokuba reaches the coordinates, he lets himself in]

Well.. she did say it was open.

[The house was so quiet, he was wondering if it was the right one.]

Masane? [He was clutching a plastic bag in one hand, loaded with snack food. Going inside a little further, he started to hear strange sounds. Carefully, he opened the door on the room the sound was coming from and.....]

How many people did she invite?! [He accidentally exclaimed then sheepishly added]

Hi everyone. I brought some snacks. [I hope I brought enough]

[ all masane can do is stand there a few moments more. stupid distracting explosions. as another sigh falls from her lips mokuba enters. he made it. safe and sound. thank goodness! taking a step back she moves over to pull the kid into a hug because everybody gets one tonight. ]

Mokuba, hey. [ and she'd not expected that exclamation. it's not that many people. ] It's just you three. [ my bros. she'd considered pinging dante too... but after the conversation they'd had she... felt incredibly awkward around him. she screwed that up royally. perhaps she'd just keep her mouth shut about everything... lest she lose more friends. ] Snacks? [ perks up. ]

I had been thinking about making something to go with Eagle's tea. [ if he's still up for making it. ] But I'm not sure how well popcorn goes with tea. [ a nervous bit of laughter. i'm super classy! ]

[Eagle is biased but at this mention he does pull himself away from the colorful explosions on this TV and make his way towards the kitchen to help her out. His tea was no where near as good as his 2nd in Command but he could make a decent enough brew.]

I'm surprised you are out so late Mokuba, did you make sure to leave a note for your brother?

[And asked while passing the young boy on his way to the kitchen. After hearing Mokuba's reply he then turned back and said one last thing to Juno before disappearing into the kitchen.]

You will have to tell me what happens to the bathtub.

[ That was an important fact he felt should not be overlooked. And he can probably already tell Eagle what's going to happen to that tub. Because that's a whole lot of C4 they've got there... and damn commercial. ]

Hey, aren't you that kid with the weirdly important sounding title?

[ He directs his attention at the kid seeing as how the other two have left for the kitchen, leaving him with the all important task of manning the remote (since there was a commercial and all he was using the opportunity to rapidly flip through channels) ]

[ a small smile pursed her lips. ] Popcorn and tea it is. [ boy, does she love you guys. meanders into the kitchen and lets eagle pass as she falls against the counter. circles an arm around her middle and lets her gaze drop to the ground. ]

E- Eagle. [ before he's got much time to raid the fridge, the cabinets, and the pantry for anything she's reaching for him. she's attempted to remain stable, but everything is still bearing rather heavily on her. ] ...do you think we'll ever get to go home... [ and though the mere thought of such a conclusion killed her inside she felt that this separation was, sadly, for the best. but she needed to see her beloved riko one last time... to explain this and explain that and, most importantly, tell her that she loves her. ]

...what if, ...[ as she stumbles over her next couple of words tears bead at the ends of her eyes. fuck. ] what if we never get to see our families, our friends, or our loved ones again... I, I, I just can't let it end like this. [ and she looks to the bracelet. ] It's this stupid thing! It's going to be the death of me.

[ a laugh! and for a moment she laughs almost mindlessly! it's borderline pathetic. she might be being a bit louder than intended. but she's feeling helpless, scared, and worried, ... ] I feel like I'm falling apart without her here. [ she moves back and as she takes a deep breath she runs a hand through her hair. ] and I don't know to do. [ rummages around in the cabinets for a teapot and a few cups and saucers. sighs. ] ...sorry... I probably sound like I'm nuts. [ halfhearted bit of laughter. ] I really don't know what I'd do without you guys. I mean... you came out this late to keep me company, ...thanks, really, ...

[Eagle had been reaching for one of the cabinets when Masane reached out to him so instead he found himself once again giving his friend a reassuring hug. He listened as she spoke and wished he could say for certain that they would see their homes and loved ones again... but he knew at least when it came to himself that would likely not be possible.
Masane was in good health though, bright intelligent, surely she could find a way to break the curse of that bracelet and see her daughter again. ]

I think that if you believe in anything strongly enough it can come true. You just have to trust in yourself and fight for what you want with everything you have.

[The power of the will. It was truly a force not to be reckoned with. Eagle wouldn't even be standing here today if it wasn't for his great conviction that he might be able to fulfill his ultimate wish. ]

[Maybe the laughing did sound a little crazy but he was too polite to say so. ]

[If Mokuba was learning anything it was that Masane liked to socialize a lot more than his brother did, but hey! maybe some of that would rub off on Seto when they finally met] Hey everyone. [He offered Eagle and Nero a wave while he was still in Masane's embrace]

Oh yeah, I left a note for him on the fridge. [Mokuba grinned, it was nice knowing that Eagle was so thoughtful. He soon found a place to set the snacks and took a seat on some of the available floor space. Tea was fine with him, being from Japan and everything. When Eagle and Masane left for the kitchen is gave Mokuba a chance to speak to Nero.]

The weird name? [Mokuba puzzled over it for a second] Oh! Now I remember you! [He exclaimed] Yeah, I was the commissioner of the Battle City tournament before I got here. [Even though they hadn't gotten to talk much in that first introduction, Mokuba was relieved that they technically had met before]

So where did you and Masane meet? [He was content to let Nero keep control of the remote]
