[The video doesn't turn on. Instead, there are only muffled sounds- as if the communicator is hidden in a pocket, or something similar. The only noise that can be heard is that of sniffing, and an occasional choked sob. Someone is trying not to cry, and not doing a very good job of it.]

[It certainly sounds like a kid's voice. So yeah, no less worried.]

Are you hurt? Or lost?

[He's about ready to shout again and try to run away from the voice- though with the communicator in his pocket it wouldn't have worked too well- when he realizes the difference.]

...Why do you care?

Because I don't want to to be sad. Can you tell me what's wrong? Or where you are?

[His voice is petulant and angry now.]

No one else cares about that. [Except for the voice in his head that wants to taunt him about it.] Why do you?

I'm sure there must be someone-

-because I'm worried for you. Do you know what that means? It means I shan't be happy until I know how to help you.

You can't do anything.

That's not true at all.

[She sighs. She's been taking in war orphans since Guardia's fall. Even if she thinks he's just upset because he's lost, she's used to this.]

I can't fix everything. But not being able to fix something and not being able to do anything to make things better aren't the same at all. Just- tell me where you are. If there's really nothing at all I can do, I'll leave you alone. Promise.

[He wants to protest that she can't fix anything. But he hasn't actually paid attention to the place around him yet, and he's almost surprised when he looks around.]

I'm in... I don't know. I think it's a town.
