[The image is steady though somewhat off, showing a tiny girl with bright green hair at an odd, stilted angle. Even so, that's enough to capture the look of wide-eyed horror given at a moogle barely within the screen's range, not much smaller than the girl herself.]

What?!? No! My world can't be gone! You're lying!

[Of course the moogle is quick to protest.]

I'm not lying, kupo! It's the truth! You--

[The little girl stamps her foot, even as tears begin to form.]

Stop it! That doesn't make any sense! I told you, I don't have time for this! We have to go and rescue Rosa!

But--

[The video feed grows unsteady as she runs down the street. Once she's far enough away, the little girl plops down to catch her breath...and curls in on herself, sniffling.]

[Rydia lifts her head upon hearing the armor--and freezes. It's him! She gasps and gets to her feet, clutching her Ice Rod. The communicator has fallen to the ground, ignored.]

Where's Rosa?! What did you do with her?!?

[She's desperately trying to seem less frightened than she is, but the trembling doesn't help.]

[Stepping back again. He doesn't raise his hands to cast or block, but he is tensed for any spell being sent his way.]

I do not have her. She is safe with Cecil.

[Anger tips the scales for just a moment and she glares.]

No, she's not! I just saw you take her!

I did take her, once. But she is not in my possession in this world.

[Glares are expected. It's been strange, not getting them from most people around here.]

[Rydia frowns, not wanting to believe him. She just needs to escape and find Rosa.]

Stay away from me! I-I'll summon Titan!

[Even though she's not quite sure how she did that in the first place. But if ever there was a need....]

[Siiigh. How to avoid being attacked...?]

I do not wish to harm you, child.

Why should I believe you?!

[Even though it is confusing that he hasn't done anything yet. But that just makes her more confused, which adds to her annoyance. None of this makes any sense.]

Because I am doing nothing to you. Nor do I intend to.

Until I see Rosa for myself, I won't believe you.

[Rydia's had enough. She may be a brave little girl, but last time was in intimidating enough, and she wasn't alone then. She is now. So, she casts Toad, then turns to run before she can see if it works.]

Then-

[He means to tell her to contact Rosa, but he's cut off by the Toading. Dammit. He watches her run, then tries to find somewhere to avoid attention. He needs to find a way to get this magic reversed...

If Rydia does follow Rosa's request and search him out, he won't be particularly easy to find, despite being such a large toad.]

[A while later, Rydia heads back the way she came. She clutches her Ice Rod, a little nervous despite what Rosa said.]

Hey! Where are you? Rosa said I had to find you!

[There's a deep croak from under a nearby bench. Whether or not it was in response to Rydia, it's a sign of where the toad has gotten to.]

[Rydia approaches the bench and crouches down...then stares.]

Wow. You really are a humungous toad.

[The toad is giving her as much of a Look as it can. It's about as effective as Edward punching a golem.]

[Rydia reaches out to pick him up.]

Rosa says I should turn you back, but I'm gonna wait until she gets here. You did a lot of bad things and I don't trust you.

[He squirms at first to try and get out of her hands, but eventually resigns himself to being held. He hates Toad. Hates it so much.]

[Rydia frowns down at him.]

I'm not going to do anything else to you, even though you deserve it. You kidnapped Rosa and made Cecil all upset, and you made Edward cry when your Red Wings killed Anna....

[Suprisingly, the Golbez-toad settles down in her hands at the mention of that. He deserves plenty for what he's done, though Cecil and Rosa have been foolish in not going about that. Then again, it's what makes them into the people they are.]

...and Tellah's mad at you, too. You better hope he doesn't come here.

[She saw enough of Tellah's wrath to know that he'll do whatever it takes to bring Golbez down.]

[At lesat as a toad he can't talk. He has an excuse now for not having to explain that he knows- that Tellah used his strongest magic.. and that even when fueled when his life, it wasn't enough.

In the meantime, resigned frog is resigned. He's been reduced to being lectured by a young girl. Right now, he's just waiting for it to end.]

[Rydia wants it to end, too. She'd much rather have Rosa for company, but at least she has a big toad until then. Placing Golbez on the bench, she hauls herself up, then puts him in her lap. Gotta keep an eye on him, after all.]

I like you better this way....

[He almost tries to get away again, but then she's pulling him into her lap. He wishes that Rydia had simply turned him back into himself and departed again- better that than being forced to wait to Rosa. He should just consider himself fortunate that Cecil wasn't supposed to appear as well.]

And you know, wearing all that scary armor doesn't help people think that you mean them no harm....

[Rosa hurries best as she can to Twilight Town, worried about Rydia by herself. The moment she hears word of a small girl with green hair, she scurries that direction, although she pulls up short and tries to stifle a grin when she spots the little summoner seated with a large toad on her lap.]

Rydia, Theodor. I see you found each other.

[Burying the small grin. The child had told her she didn't want to change the man back. Rosa kneels down and strokes Rydia's mass of green hair once, then finally gets sober.]

Don't you think we should put him back?

[Rydia sighs.]

I guess...if you promise that he's not going to hurt more people.

[She's still really dubious about that part, not understanding why Rosa would trust him. Still, the fact that she does has to mean something. So, she places the toad on the bench, then goes to cling to Rosa's skirt, half-hiding behind her.]
