[The image is steady though somewhat off, showing a tiny girl with bright green hair at an odd, stilted angle. Even so, that's enough to capture the look of wide-eyed horror given at a moogle barely within the screen's range, not much smaller than the girl herself.]

What?!? No! My world can't be gone! You're lying!

[Of course the moogle is quick to protest.]

I'm not lying, kupo! It's the truth! You--

[The little girl stamps her foot, even as tears begin to form.]

Stop it! That doesn't make any sense! I told you, I don't have time for this! We have to go and rescue Rosa!

But--

[The video feed grows unsteady as she runs down the street. Once she's far enough away, the little girl plops down to catch her breath...and curls in on herself, sniffling.]

[Dear me, this really is confusing. Hmm.]

Why would he hop away?

He wouldn't leave me alone, so I Toaded him. And then I ran.

[Straight-faced, no amusement -or shame- evident.]

[It takes Rosa a decent moment to process that information. It's been years since Ceodore was this small and he was always such a good child, more or less. There's a touch of nostalgia at Rydia's lack of remorse. She had been quite the handful as a small girl. That memory makes her smile where she really should be slightly more stern. Alas.]

Rydia, I need you to listen. Where you are at, there can be some dangerous monsters. Please try to find Golbez and stay with him. And could you please, change him back? He won't hurt you, I promise.

[Rydia pouts.]

I don't want to. If there aren't any monsters, I'll keep him that way until you get there.

[She won't feel safe in Golbez's presence without Rosa. Then she looks thoughtful.]

Maybe he won't be hard to find. He must be a really big toad....

[She shouldn't be laughing. Not even smiling. But she cannot help but be mildly amused at Rydia's take on the situation.]

Yes, I imagine he must be. Please be careful, alright?

[She nods, rubbing her eyes a bit. Someone's in need of a nap, though she certainly won't admit it right now.]

Okay. I have my Ice Rod and I can cast Fire now, and I have Whyt....

If you see monsters, don't fight them. I want you to run as fast as you can.

[Rydia looks around, having no sense of direction in this new place, but she'll make that moogle help her.]

To the first shop or house you can find. Somewhere inside.

[Rydia frowns a little.]

This place is too big.

[She's used to towns where the entire area can be seen just by turning around.]

I know, but you're a talented summoner. I know you'll be fine, won't you?

[It still feels terribly odd to be talking to her friend at a child's level but such are the circumstances.]

[She straightens, trying to look more confident for Rosa's sake.]

I will! I'll find Golbez and we'll wait.

[While Rydia lectures him.]
