[A PCD is turned on, revealing a unconscious young boy with black spiky hair, propped up against some crates in the First District of Traverse Town. One of the moogles was poking the boy's cheek, his thick bangs partially obscuring his face. After a couple more pokes, we finally hear a groan.]

Hey, kupo! I think he's waking up! Kupo!

Wake up, kupo! Wake up!

Nnnngh... 'm awake, 'm awake, stop pokin' me...

[The boy swats at the moogle and lifts his head, a hand coming up to rub his forehead. It's clear the kid's got a bit of a headache. He blinks rather bright blue eyes at the creatures and jumps a bit.]

Whoa! What're you?!

We're moogles, kupo! Here's your phone, we gotta help some other people. Don't worry, everything will be explained, kupo!

H-Hey, wait a minute! I need to know- [Aaaaaand they're gone.] why 'm not at the Coliseum...

[Welp. He stares at the PCD, totally confused as to what a phone is, let alone that it was even recording him.]

[That bit interests him because this is the first time he's actually heard someone theorize just where the Darkness originated.]

So it originally came from actual people or rather their 'hearts'? And how is Hades involved in this? [Sharp hearing, he has it.]

Mmhm. Everyone has Darkness in their Hearts. That's what I always thought, never really thought Darkness could manifest as anything else though. Certainly not little... shadow things.

[He doesn't look to proud of himself here.]

Hades knows how to use the Darkness and he used mine to control me so that he could try to kill Terra even after our match was over.

[The bit about Hades is duly noted along with his previous experience with the god of the underworld.]

No one seems to know much about how it came about or why it's doing what it is either. It seems to be something that just is currently.

At least we know what he's capable of now, if you're prepared for it, it should make it harder for him to repeat that stunt again.

Just... don't make a deal with him. That's how he gets you.

[That's how he got Zack. Obviously, Hades hasn't tried since but still, better to warn the guy who looks just like his Hero.]

[He's seen how shifty the god was already in that tournament he had taken part in, and then there was the matter of the mugs...which fortunately Hades had yet to figure out that he'd been responsible for sending..]

Yeah, actually! How do I get back to the Coliseum?

There should be a gummi-ship station in Traverse Town, just use the munny the moogle should have given you to purchase transport to it.

[Considering this seems to be a smaller version of Angeal's puppy, he's certain he'll have no trouble with using those ships.]

[Except he has no idea what the hell a gummi ship is.]

[Don't feel bad kid, he still doesn't understand the things. They defy logic.]

A ship which apparently runs on 'happy or pleasant thoughts' and smiles...they're the only way to achieve transportation between the worlds here that I know of.

[His disbelief is still rather apparent as he states the second power-source, he'd only recently heard of the other via someone else over this network and had yet to actually test it out. Though how anything could run on either of those two things he had no idea..]

...are you serious? Ships that run on thoughts and smiles?

[And someone serious like you had to ride those things? brb, trying not to laugh.]

I wish I was joking, but sadly yes, I am quite serious.

[He's just going to wait out the laughter before he actually speaks again, ignoring that it ever happened.]

I'm currently stationed on Port Royal, but if you see anything amiss around the world the Coliseum is located on, give me a call. I'm also the Director of the Inter-Dimensional Police force and thus in charge of trying to keep the peace of the worlds here.

[Inasmuch as he can with what little he has to work with currently anyway.]

What's Port Royal?

It's a world which contains mostly pirates and heartless. I was sent here to deal with both you might say by the king which watches over these various worlds.

The king? You mean there's someone who watches over everything?

...is he a god?

No, just a mouse from the looks of him. He calls himself a king though and the natives defer to him. He goes by the name of Mickey.

This is just gettin' weirder and weirder.

I've given up trying to make sense of it. There's just no logic in some of the things I've encountered since my arrival.

[Just wait til you meet or see the other talking mice, the rabbit and the frog...and then of course there's the pokemon.]

[Whether you'd want to know or not, one of those elements makes itself known regardless by appearing suddenly on the man's shoulder. To Sephiroth's credit he takes this in stride and doesn't even seem much affected by the sudden addition of extra weight on one shoulder beyond the feline like eyes briefly moving toward the lavender feline and then back to Zack.]

They're not that bad, just unusual. Some do make fine fighting partners.

...what is that?

Honestly, I don't know what it is. It looks and acts mostly like a feline though.

[Except for the gem on its head and the forked tail....and the fact it can apparently attack things without touching them, but we'll not go into that just yet.]

I found it in the Underworld earlier during a tournament there and rescued it. It's stuck with me ever since.
