[It's a shame that Rydia's second time (accidentally) sending a message through the communicator has her distraught again, even worse than before. But, such is her fate upon receiving one of Hades' 'gifts' from the Underworld. What results is a scene all too familiar to the young girl; the town is burning, as living balls of flame soar and collide with structures and people alike.]

NO! Stop! GO AWAY! LEAVE THEM ALONE!

[Rydia drops the communicator on the ground as she runs about and tries to put out the flames with blasts from her Ice Rod, but it falls at such an angle as plenty can still be seen. The little girl soon drops her rod as well, as she falls to her knees beside an unmoving woman.]

Mother?!? ...no....

[She bows her head, sobs wracking her tiny frame. So engrossed is she that she doesn't hear the clank of armor belonging to someone just entering the screen's range...that of a certain dragoon.]

Foul work, to be sure. But we'll need to kill the girl, as well....

[The communicator isn't right next to her, but it's close enough where she can hear that familiar voice. She sniffles, slightly muffled in speech as she tries to choke down sobs.]

Destiny Islands...but it looks like Mist, right now--

[She glances up and over, eyes widening as she realizes that she's not alone.]

[Kain's lucky that Rydia's too distracted to realize who's talking to her just then. She lifts her head, eyes widening as she sees Kain standing before her. The little girl then gets to her feet and begins backing away.]

He keeps coming!

[She lifts her rod, blasting the dragoon with ice...but it's not enough to stop his approach.]

[She backs away and blasts Kain with ice, but that doesn't hold him back for long....]

[Another scene of terrible destruction. Nothing he hadn’t seen before however even now the screams of a small girl in trouble were too horrible to ignore. ]

[Rydia lifts her head, hearing that voice from the communicator...and jumping a little as she realizes that Kain is there, as well.]

[She stands up, snatching the rod that she dropped.]

Stay away!

[Extending her rod, she sends a blast of ice at the dragoon, hoping to send him back enough so that she can gain some distance as she runs.]

[Rosa shudders in revulsion at seeing first hand what horrors Cecil and Kain inflicted on Mist. All the more disturbing to see her best friend proposing to kill a child. Those years are long since spent and yet a heavy dread turns her stomach.

There is no time for this, however. Rydia must be close, and thanks to a timely message, Rosa knows the source of the child's nightmare. She grabs her bow and quiver and sets out to find the little one as quickly as possible.]
