[004] ☿ Happy thoughts
[Today, as usual, Mizuno Ami is surrounded by alarmingly tall piles of books, settled into a more or less comfortable chair in a library. She clicks on the video feed and takes a moment to compose herself before recording her thoughts. She clears her throat lightly before speaking.]
I'd like to discuss certain aspects of the worlds represented in this place.
I've found constellations I recognize from the night sky in my home. However, the stars nearby are unfamiliar. I'd like to know whether some of them may have existed in the home worlds of others here. And, I'd like to know if anything else from your home worlds has appeared here.
Second to that, I'd like to discuss the gummi ships.
[Here, her voice becomes a little less certain and once or twice, she glances off-screen without quite meaning to. This is... hard to put scientifically.] I'd like to discuss theories about their workings.
It seems incredible that something could run on 'happy thoughts'; however, if those emotions produced certain specific brainwave patterns, those could potentially be stored as energy to power the ships. It would be very cost-efficient of course; and beneficial with the reduction in fuel consumption.
[She's already distracting herself with more thoughts. She'll need to be interrupted before she stops rambling; she seems to have forgotten people are probably listening and watching.]
That must be why it was developed as an energy source. But the term 'heartless' has certain connotations of negative feelings. Could the same positive patterns that drive the gummi ships help in defeating the heartless?
I don't suppose the proper equipment to monitor that could be accessible here.

I sort of feel the same. We're asked to believe a lot of unbelievable things here; but we saw many incredible things back home, too.

Perhaps if those items were reconstructed into something else...
[Uh oh. See that thing over her head? It's a light bulb. It just turned on. And it's all your fault, Ami.]
Into the 'keyblades' we've heard of?
If they can be shaped into other items aside from ships, those that could aid in such energy storage, they could be useful in repelling potential large-scale attacks.

[action] because Usagi has the urge to pull Ami away from books 8|a
scaringinterrupting the bookworm as per usual, but she hangs out in the background while Ami speaks about the Gummi Ships and good feelings and fighting the Heartless. Things that she decides to store in the back of her brain at a later date. For now, once Ami's done addressing the masses, she walks over and practically leans over the girls' shoulder to look at one of the less complicated books she has open. ]
If it's called a Gummi ship, does that mean we can eat it?
[ .... Yes. That's right. She thinks that the ships are edible. :|a ]
[action] books are valid too! and no you can't eat everything :|
Hey. Anything to encourage reading. She stifles an urge to rest her head in her hands at that comment, however. How to say it tactfully...?]
Usagi-chan, you can't eat a ship.
[action] with a title that involves candy, I don't see why she can't eat it. :|
[ She's trying to read in the book to see if she can eat it. No seriously. Her fingers reach for the pages and she flips through it as her eyes look quickly for anything that involves eating but once she sees none, loses interest very quickly. ]
And do they really run on happy thoughts? I've never heard anything like that before.
[action] /comfs
Happy thoughts, however, bring to mind one of Usagi's extreme strong points.]
Would you like to help me test that, Usagi-chan? I'd like to see just how far it goes.
