001 Ѻ Video

[After the moogle has shown Luke around, he's taken a few minutes before turning the communicator on. The Darkness had done something to the timelines of other worlds, apparently. It was a great temptation for Luke to just call out for his father and see when he had come from. Maybe it was early enough, maybe he could save him. Really save him. But what would the far-reaching consequences of that action be? Would it only make things worse somehow?]

My name is Luke. I am a Jedi Knight with the Alliance. If anyone else survived the destruction of the forest moon, please check in with me.

[He pauses.

Father... Obi-wan...

Do either of them hear? Do either of them even
know him?]

And if anyone can tell me anything more about the Darkness and this place, I would appreciate it.

[He nods once and thus establishes a filter locking their conversation away from casual public view.]

I would offer to meet you, but I'm not currently on the same world as you are. I have however secured this line now from any prying eyes. [Well save for the possible eyes or ears of those whom currently keep him company, but as for the moment he was alone.]

Anything you care to share about it. What is it? What part do you play in it?

Also... if you don't mind me asking, whom was your Master?
quigonjinn: (So give me reason)

[Emperor Palpatine? Well that was strange and interesting. The news about Obi-Wan was actually the most distressing, but he refused to let it visibly upset him any. As he told Obi-Wan before, just because it happened else-when for someone, didn't mean it was written in stone that it had to end up happening in that manner. Beyond that, it wasn't like those events had to effect their actions here if they decided not to allow it to. Still, the news renders him quiet for several seconds before he responds again.]

......I see.

Why Dagobah, if I might ask? Is there a reason you weren't trained at the Temple on Coruscant?

[Despite hearing something much the same second-hand from Obi-Wan upon first arriving here, actually hearing it first hand from someone is something more of a punch to the gut. He closes his eyes briefly, letting what emotion raised by it be acknowledged and then silently dismissed as he had before. Despite just how distressing it was, it would not do any of them any good to dwell on it.

For him and the others it hadn't yet happened for, there was always yet the possibility it wouldn't happen and for those it had happened for, there was nothing that could be done to actually change it. Even if there was, playing with the past was not something to be done lightly if done at all. There was always a possibility that things had happened in such a way for a reason, even if it did seem horrendously unfair and unjust... and changing those events just ended up birthing something of a far greater evil on down the line.

He sighed softly and opened his eyes again to look at the young man.]

...I see.

I was told earlier by my Padawan that someone had told him that the Jedi Order was destroyed and that the Sith had gained rule over the galaxy... I take it such was true in your own time?

[So Palpatine was the Sith lord? That bit of news was distressing, though any actual distress over it is well hidden. He also silently notes the hesitation of the other man before he actually uses the word apprentice, as if he wasn't certain if that was the word he actually wanted.]

Ah. [There's a small pause and then he decides to question that hesitation. Watching him closely as he speaks again for cues in the man's body language as well as his words.]

Did you know the apprentice?
quigonjinn: (And your voice was all I heard)

[From the actions and body language given, it's a reasonable guess that whomever this apprentice was, it was someone possibly close to the young man. Since the notice isn't really all that necessary to him, he decides to quit prying for the time being.]

How many Jedi are left in your era, that you're aware of?

[It's hard to believe that all of them had been killed, surely others beyond those mentioned by Luke had to of managed to survive the implied slaughter of the Order.]
