[After the moogle has shown Luke around, he's taken a few minutes before turning the communicator on. The Darkness had done something to the timelines of other worlds, apparently. It was a great temptation for Luke to just call out for his father and see when he had come from. Maybe it was early enough, maybe he could save him. Really save him. But what would the far-reaching consequences of that action be? Would it only make things worse somehow?]

My name is Luke. I am a Jedi Knight with the Alliance. If anyone else survived the destruction of the forest moon, please check in with me.

[He pauses.

Father... Obi-wan...

Do either of them hear? Do either of them even know him?]

And if anyone can tell me anything more about the Darkness and this place, I would appreciate it.

[She smiles a bit self-consciously, and reaches up to touch it.]

No, not exactly. [She isn't the only one with it; but it's far from usual, either. At least, naturally.]

Have I made you uncomfortable by asking about it?

No, that's not it. [She's not really used to someone noticing her appearance. She's used to them seeing the genius, and not the girl.]

I just hadn't thought about it before. [That sounds more polite.]

I understand. Sometimes an outsider will notice what others do not.

[Time for a slight subject change. Or rather, subject return.]

Did you have more questions about being here? I can try to answer them.

Do you know how long this has been going on for? The Darkness taking entire worlds.

[She shakes her head and makes a dubious face. How to explain...?]

That's impossible to say. I've been here for two months myself. Some people have been here longer. However, time doesn't seem to flow the same between worlds. Although I've been here only two months, a friend of mine I saw shortly before I arrived here had been here longer.

The distortion of the timelines would make judging that impossible.

If you judge strictly by how long people have related being here, stories seem to stretch back approximately two years.

Has anyone challenged the Darkness?

We fight the Heartless, but that isn't the same thing. We need to discover who exactly is behind them before we can challenge them.

That should prove to be difficult. [Look at how long it took the Rebellion to defeat the Emperor. And they knew who their main targets were.]

I know it won't be easy. But I can't sit still while so many people are suffering.

I understand. [And as he seems fairly focused on this as well...]

A king in these worlds has been organizing people to fight the heartless, and protect each of the worlds that's been saved here so far. Please consider lending your strength as well.

[He nods.] I will consider it. Can you tell me about this king?

He seems to be genuinely interested in the welfare of the people here.

[And he's a mouse.]

He lives in Disney Castle.

His name is Mickey.

[He's also a mouse created by Walt Disney with a few goofy sidekicks.]

Then I will contact him.

[He's from long, long ago in a galaxy far, far away. He doesn't know Mickey Mouse. And Mickey only has one Goofy sidekick.]
