[When the video feed actually opens, the network is treated to a view of a rather scenic location within the Land of Dragons. The man it's focused on doesn't actually seem to be aware that he's being filmed. Qui-Gon is seated on a bench, dressed in a rather elaborate set of clothes, his hair resting loose for once around his currently pale face.

Just why he's being filmed perhaps isn't apparent until the feed is adjusted to show the small white birds currently seated on the man's shoulders and the one arm he has raised for them to perch on, seemingly content to just sit there in silence and observe them just as they're currently either investigating him or watching him from their various locations. Despite the hectic events which have been happening lately and this more recent unexpected change of apparel and appearance, perhaps the scene has been filmed to show there is still peace to be found in the worlds if one cares to look for it.]

[Ami smiles softly at the sight. There is still peace.]

Are they doves? They seem to like you quite a bit.

[It's actually sometime later before he responds sans his avian companions. Once he'd realized what happened, he decided to go look for the feed himself and thus was only now responding to those whom had responded to the scene.]

I'm not sure what they were called. They were the smallest birds I've seen since my arrival here though. Quite curious too. [There's a small smile as he says that last sentence.]

I wonder what their typical diet is, here. [Leave it to Ami to think of that first.] Have you tried feeding them?

It's nice to see such peace anywhere.

Yes. [He pauses, perhaps thinking about Obi-Wan's apparent decision to capture the scene he did on film.]

Sometimes people need reminded that even in what seems to be the darkest times, there is still light and peace if you allow it to find you.

They seem to be happy.

They did seem to rather enjoy investigating my clothing. [He's still somewhat amused by it really.]

It is a wonderful sight. I am pleased to see peace in at least one realm.

That is a very interesting outfit.

I'm not sure why I find myself back in it though, since the first time I found myself in it was the result of arriving on a different world which had that particular quirk of changing your appearance to suit itself.

You mean this outfit isn’t something you picked out for yourself? Then I really wouldn’t know why you ended up wearing it… I just thought you had strange taste in clothing. [Mousey giggle. ]

Your bird friends are so cute!

[It's sometime later when he responds, after he's figured out that he's been filmed and has thus watched it for himself, deciding to respond to the comments as well. He gives the young lady a smile in return.]

Where did they come from?

Even in the most chaotic of times, you manage to find calm. I'm not sure how you do it sometimes.

[Qui-Gon didn't move to look at Obi-Wan even as the younger man spoke up, keeping his gaze on the small birds as they either watched him, checked out the fabric or furred collar, or turned to look at the new arrival.]

It's always there most times. You just need to look for it or let it find you.

That's true. I almost forgot who I was talking to. This is the man who once told me one needed to make time to meditate while we were in the midst of people trying to kill us.

[The amused look is returned in kind.] What have you been up to beyond watching me, if I might ask?

Exploring... and tinkering with the gummi ship. Again. I didn't break anything.

I only wish I could make it function on actual fuel.

[A somewhat amused noise escapes at that last statement.]

I'm sure Leroy would be grateful for that if you did manage it. The fact they don't seems to be one more mystery on top of those we already know of this place.

[i.e., the timeline shenanigans, the Darkness with its Heartless, and the capability of these worlds to apparently affect one's appearance at times.]
