[Several days after his previous feed, Kotetsu appears again but this time with a smile on his face and the historical scenery of Port Royal as his backdrop. Somewhere between then and now, Kotetsu set voyage to Port Royal and let's just say that was a rather interesting ride.]

Those Gummi Ships are somethin' else, aren't they? [He chuckled lightly.] Happy thoughts? Really? If they really run on 'happy thoughts', then I'm goin' to go sailin' around the galaxy in no time!

[His laughter dies down a bit, but he's still all smiles.]

So, I got a question for some of you new folks. I know I'm not the only one here wanderin' all over the place, so I was wonderin' if anyone would want to come here to Port Royal and do some exploring.

[Kotetsu's grin widens.]

Any takers? C'mon, guys! Don't leave me hangin'. I'm sure one of you guys feel up for the adventure.

I'd like to hear more about the gummi ships, please, if it's alright.

The gummi ships? Oh, yeah! Those things are rather cool. Did you know that they can fly up to speeds faster than light?

That's what the gummi ship clerk told me. I'm not sure if it's true though.

Faster than light?! That's not possible! [Forgive her rather flustered tone. It goes against physics! Though if it's true, it means some startling possibilities, and the chance to experience firsthand the effects of the theory of relativity.]

Don't quote me, but sometimes the impossible is possible.

[Kotetsu couldn't help but chuckle now, especially since that was a rather cool line he said.]

I'm even more curious to see the gummi ships now.

Just head on down to the port! There's plenty of gummi ships there if you're in Traverse Town.

What powers them, if they move so quickly? [She can't quite believe it's 'happy thoughts'. She knows the power of one's mental state, but surely that only helps it along? Surely there's something more, too?]

I-I can't really say! I haven't figured that out yet, but the happier the thoughts...the better the mileage?

[He laughed lightly at his own corny but somewhat funny joke.]

I think we might have to check out the engine of one of those gummi ships one day. I'm feelin' a tad curious now.

Excuse me; I should have introduced myself. I'm Mizuno Ami. I'm pleased to meet you.

No, don't worry. The bad manners is all my fault but it's nice to meet you, Mizuno!

Oh, so you're really into that science and tech stuff, right?

[Man, they could use a girl like Ami around in Apollon Media. She would be a great assistant for Mr. Saitou.]

That's pretty neat! I never got into all that tech stuff. I still prefer a pay phone to a cellphone.

You're old-fashioned. [She says it like something good, not mocking.]

But I think it's good to change with the times, too, and adapt. Besides, cell phones are very convenient.

[That's the first time anyone called him "old-fashioned" without it being an insult. This tiger is starting to like you, Ami. He really wish other kids her age showed the same respect.]

I guess so. I mean, this little device here is like a cellphone, right? And it's kinda...helpful.

[She wishes other kids her age were more like her, too; it's not always easy feeling a bit out of place, finding the older generation more understandable than your own. But she manages.]

It's very similar, but cell phones are rather large and bulky compared to this. I don't think their range is usually as good, either.

[In Kotetsu's time frame, cell phone technology actually matches the same caliber of the device he's holding in his hand now. The moogles' take on the modern cellphone looks no different from the cell that Barnaby owns, but it seems to run on a much faster network.]

Ya think so? Hrm. I wouldn't know, to be honest. I own a cellphone too, but...I barely pay attention to it.

If we come from different worlds, it's only natural there would be other differences. Perhaps this is one.

I think you'll do just great, Mizuno! With someone as bright as you around, we might be able to solve this crazy case and go back home sooner than later.

I hadn't thought of it as a mystery case. That makes it a little less frightening, doesn't it?
