[Several days after his previous feed, Kotetsu appears again but this time with a smile on his face and the historical scenery of Port Royal as his backdrop. Somewhere between then and now, Kotetsu set voyage to Port Royal and let's just say that was a rather interesting ride.]

Those Gummi Ships are somethin' else, aren't they? [He chuckled lightly.] Happy thoughts? Really? If they really run on 'happy thoughts', then I'm goin' to go sailin' around the galaxy in no time!

[His laughter dies down a bit, but he's still all smiles.]

So, I got a question for some of you new folks. I know I'm not the only one here wanderin' all over the place, so I was wonderin' if anyone would want to come here to Port Royal and do some exploring.

[Kotetsu's grin widens.]

Any takers? C'mon, guys! Don't leave me hangin'. I'm sure one of you guys feel up for the adventure.

[Rule one about Kaburagi Kotetsu, ALL HIS IDEAS SUCK! Just ask Barnaby someday, Golbez.]

That...was too close!

[Feeling as if he nearly torn his arm out of its' socket with that hair-brain idea, Kotetsu was grateful for Golbez help. The sorcerer managed to pull him up to the roof of the fort with very little effort.]

T-Thanks...! Are you okay?

[If Barnaby ever shows up, they can commiserate over Kotetsu's horrible plans.

For the moment, though Kotetsu gets to see a very rare sight- Golbez removing the helmet. He pulls it off and sets it to the side with a sigh. Don't be too surprised by the white hair, Kotetsu.]

Yes.

Why did you do that?

[Kotetsu's eyes widened significantly once Golbez's helmet came off. He had no presumptions of what Golbez would look like without the armor and helmet, but when he first saw the long white hair Kotetsu's thoughts strayed to a certain blackjack gambler.]

...white hair?

[Staring at Golbez for a good minute or two, Kotetsu finally snapped out of his daze and answered the sorcerer's question.]

I didn't want you to get hurt! There were dozens of them but only two of us. What kind of "hero" would I be if I let you get hurt?

It is a family trait.

[No telling random strangers about Lunarian descent. This is why he doesn't take off the helmet often. This and other reasons.]

I have magic better aimed toward large groups. The situation was not yet so dire that we needed a desperate escape.

Um, really?

[Oh, boy. Did Kotetsu accidentally screw up again? Sure seems that way.]

I, well...thought running away would be best.

[He DID screw up, didn't he?]

You do realize that we will still need to return through those enemies?

We...do?!

[EPIC FAIL!]

Crap!

[Siiiigh.]

This place seems safe enough, for now. We could examine it while we wait for your abilities to recover.

[Scratching his cheek sheepishly now, Kotetsu simply nodded in agreement as he looked around on the roof of the fort.]

Y-Yea, that sounds like a good idea.

Then we are agreed.

[Putting the helmet back on, now.]

[While he felt like a complete idiot right now, Kotetsu couldn't help but ask this one nagging question.]

...Are you Sephiroth's father?

[Staring now. Kotetsu, you might just be more of an idiot than he thought.]

I am no one's father.

[B-But he's really not stupid! He's just curious and a little silly--]

You're sure? I mean, the two of you have an uncanny resemblance.

[Smiling as he rose to his feet, Kotetsu let out a sharp hiss of pain.]

Man, I'm gettin' old.

[He sighed.]

Let's go.

I have never known anyone by that name. And I believe I would know if I were a father.

[He straightens fully himself, and moves to continue onward without another word.]
