[Video/Action in Traverse Town]
[The communicator turns on with a crack. Lucca is staring at it, frowning in concentration. But she doesn't seem to realize she's turned it on. Unless she intended to send out a video of a chisel in the extreme foreground and a hammer coming down upon it.
The chisel glances off the phone's surface and out of her hand and she mumbles something decidedly vulgar-sounding under her breath.]
...can't open it up this way, either. It's worse than the Gummi Blocks.
[She removes her gloves with a sigh, then sits up again and holds a single finger up. It glows, first red-hot and then white, and the heat of it can be seen in the way the air around her hand distorts the image behind it.]
Okay, pal. Remember that I did try to play nice. Let's see how this works...

[And less than an hour later, there's a fairly alarming bang coming from one of the rooms available for rent in Traverse Town. A few seconds afterward, a window is thrown open and smoke pours out followed by a smoke-marked Lucca, coughing and gulping down the clean air.]

Well, that seems to be its primary purpose. But I've heard that it's capable of much more. Apparently it can record an entire person.
